Been there during one trip in Italy, really great pizza. They have special hemp dough. Pizza was really crispy and tasty. Place is really small with nice ambient.The lady who served us first didn't know English but main chef speaks it very well.

We recently dined at this lovely restaurant just outside Verona. We were greeted warmly by the owner and the rest of the staff. We are quite big foodies and were looking forward to the evening. Ingredients are sourced locally and simply cooked. We were slightly disappointed with the food as we were expecting a higher standard but the matching wines were very good. Thank you for visiting our restaurant. We are happy to hear that overall you had a lovely evening and enjoyed our service and our wine pairings. But we are disappointed that despite appreciating the local sourcing of our ingredients, you found our food to be a little too handmade, which did not meet your expectations. We value your feedback as it helps us to continually look for ways to improve.

We went to Trattoria dal Taio after seeing it on TripAdvisor. It's a bit out of town and tricky to book (telephone reservations only) but it was AMAZING! The food was excellent, delicious and decent portions - both starters and mains. The meat is simply amazing, as was the pasta, and it's phenomenal value. The staff were a delight and couldn't have been more charming. An FYI for travellers - taxi companies (we used Radio Taxi Verona) seem not to take reservations so just call 10 minutes before you need one. The journey was about 20 Euros from town. The restaurant booked our return trip after we'd finished supper, which was helpful. Thoroughly recommended - and book in advance, as far ahead as you can!

This was one of our favourite meals of our recent honeymoon - we were staying in Verona, without a car but it was worth the 20min taxi to and from. We had a selection of antipasti, then Ravioli stuffed with risotto and my husband had risotto. The food was absolutely delicious and and ambience fantastic - we were welcomed and looked after by Guido who's wine recommendation was spot on and he had a lot of patience for us with our terrible Italian. It is absolutely not somewhere tourists go, but if you are in Verona or surrounding I highly recommend making the effort if you like high quality Italian food. Thank you so much for your kind words! We're really humbled by your compliments and we're happy that you'll cherish this experience among your honeymoon memories.We hope to meet you and your husband again. Arrivederci!

The pizzeria recently moved next door. The pizzeria, decorated with taste, is larger and has an open view kitchen where you can see your pizza progressing in its making. There are a few tables but you can still have takeaway. Same great quality, really a master of the pizza. Yummy and light.

We didnât have long for lunch as we had a ferry to catch so we chose a starter each - tuna sashimi and the burrata - and a salad to share. Absolutely delicious food, cool tranquil setting and such lovely staff. Only wish we had had time for more. Highly recommended.

Got a great welcome. Most helpful with menu choice. Wine was served by Simone with 'Slainte'...impressive. All courses we selected (and extra) served in style. All so tasty. Topped off at the end with a beautiful liqueur. So pleased we chose here. If you want a touch of class in Verona......go no further. We were looking for a place to have a quick but good lunch. And when in Italy you cannot not go a bad restaurant so after careful searching we found what later became the perfect spot! Very friendly waiter, AMAZING food and a nice atmosphere on the terrace with a lovely breeze. We got some nice wine recommendations too! We only had seafood: a nice platter of crudi (raw red shrimp, scampiâs and oysters) to start after that pasta with seafood and my husband had a pasta with a super velvety Taleggio sauce and fresh truffle. Worth every euro!

Upon checking in to our hotel in Verona my wife and I asked where we could go for a casual lunch. We were directed to La Figaccia. What a great find! The place is small but tastefully decorated. Most of the business must be take out as there is limited seating on stools along a counter. The fellows behind the counter told us that all the meats, cheeses and breads are locally sourced and they take pride in the quality. Seeing that I did not understand Italian and was having difficulty translating the menu, one of the staff sliced pieces of different meats for me to sample and recommending the most popular. The sandwich I chose was absolutely delicious. One of the best I've ever eaten and very reasonably priced. I offered to be one of their best customers if they would set up shop in Toronto. If you want a great Italian sandwich when in Verona, La Figaccia is the place.
