Having come here for years for our weekly pizza craving we never had a problem. One day we ordered two large pizzas, picked them up, went home and opened a box of pizza soup. It was so undercooked that trying to hold a piece of it was like holding a wet napkin. The problem was my very young daughter had already taken ONE bite of a piece of it. My wife called them and explained the situation to one of the employees , the employee was so overwhelmed it was like she asked him to explain quantum physics. So she asked for the manager who explained there was nothing they could do for us since it was already eaten. Really , one bite? Making us two new pizzas at a whole whopping price of $16 dollars is a lot cheaper than losing $300-400 a year we spent there. Plus word of mouth. The upside is have found a lot better hometown type pizza shops in the area even if we have to drive a little further or spend a little more. Great choice management!

After the original owner Gregg sold it, the several owners who have operated it since have not maintained the standards, and prices of course have risen. For instance, really skimpy portions on the cob salad and forgetting to put some items on. The employees are mostly young kids with hit or miss attitudes. The breadsticks are still good.

Reservation requested a quiet table. Was seated by hostess station and kitchen entrance. Waitress was annoying. Constantly pushing to upsell. It was like there was some employee recognition to upsell. It got to be too much. Very quaint place to have a relaxing, exquisite dinner! The wine list offering is second to none and the beer offerings did not match what I usually have, but their alternatives were very good! The food choices were great! The Traverse City Chicken is excellent, and the Filet of Beef Special was absolutely perfect!As a starter, the variety board of meats, cheese, bread, olives, and nuts is superb! We will definitely return. The chef came out and made the above suggestions, and we were not sorry about anything that was brought to our table, including the Apple Cake Dessert served with Ice Cream that was still warm, oh so good!
