Ok, so this place has fantastic food and very reasonable prices for the quality of food and wine. If food is everything then do yourself a favour and go to enjoy the ancient recipes that this place specialises in. The decor is basic (great glassware but plastic chairs), and the service is amazing in parts and lacking in others. But, it's about the food!!!We ended up being given a range of local digestives by the owners, husband and wife, as we were the last to leave. You'll not find another place like it. Enjoy.

We spent a weekend here, and were quite disappointed with the experience. We come to the area often due to family, so have tried many cascine in the area. The rooms are very basic, with old furniture, very dark, heating not on, shower not very hot (almost room temperature). Our room was above the kitchen and we could hear them washing dishes as we were trying to sleep. We had dinner one night, but the food is not representative of the region. Way too much salt was used, left us all thirsty. Breakfast was odd with focaccia and pizza. We felt like we were intruding on their business, never an offer for a coffee at breakfast, or anyone around to greet you when you are coming and going, and the lights in the dining room (where you walk to your room) always turned off, making it dark even during the day. Some of these things could be forgiven, if the price was reflective of the experience. But they ask too much for what they give. We won't be returning, much better in the area for less money.

The La Marlera is hidden in the narrow streets of Mombaruzzo, it is definitely worth finding it! The Osteria is in a beautiful typical Piedmont House, tastefully decorated and the waiters are very authentic and care about their guests. the menu offers not only typical Piedmont cuisine, but also other delicious plates. They have a very good wine selection as well. This is a place we will definitely come back again, the friendly staff and the food are worth many trips to the Osteria!

Not good service a lot of people...time and time before dinner.Too crowd. If you want a quiet place this is not the best.Good farinata but poor pizza...Dear customer, first of all we want to thank you for your review. About the local crowding take note of His considerations but at the same time is a source of satisfaction because it confirms that we are making the most of our work. Sorry for the wait but it is a normal result of so much work.

The place offered a fixed menu with local specialities. The service was friendly and really welcoming. Every single one of the dishes presented to us was cooked with high quality and with a local rustic touch. Stayed at the next door Agriturismo Suri. Both is highly recommended!

We arrived in nizza monferrato from villa nova d'asti and came across this restaurant via the enoteca shop in the centre. Really good shop By the way!!!We turned up at 7.30 and were far from disappointed. The food was lovely ,service was excellent and the wine list fantastic and was not expensive . we had brema 2009 which was superb and would no doubt have cost in excess of £70 back in the ukYou have to visit this unassuming but great restaurant with a really friendly knowledgeable and enthusiastic sommelier
