We ordered 2 pizzas, an Italian and a vegetarian, for take out. This was our first time ordering at this restaurant and didn't know what we'd get. We were happy to find that the pizzas were excellent. They were 16" pizzas on flat crusts and not greasy like so many pizzas are. The ingredients were fresh and just the right amount for our taste--not too few or so many that it becomes a gloppy mess. With each interaction, the service was excellent too. I ordered over the phone and got courteous help placing our order. Since we picked up the pizzas, I can't comment on delivery or the dining room experience. I just know that we enjoyed the pizzas and won't hesitate to order again.

We went here a couple years ago so don't know if things have changed, but at the time, very funky vibe. Service was great...very personable folks. Lots of mismatched chairs/tables, sofas, etc. But surprisingly good food. We keep saying we will return but hasn't happened yet. Know that we moved to Bremerton (Illahee) we need to check Mobster Mike's out again.

We picked this restaurant at the hotel manager's suggestion and were not disappointed. Nothing fancy but is a lovely little Italian eatery. Prices are very reasonable and the portions quite large. Service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious, authentic Italian.

Anita's Place at Boston's

A family-owned restaurant with great food and drinks and a fun, inviting atmosphere.

Went here after spending a few hours exploring the nearby USS Turner Joy museum. It’s a small place, and nothing fancy. But wow, what great food. They hand make the pizza, even making their own dough and hand tossing it the old fashioned way. Great toppings and a varied selection. Today they had cheese, pepperoni, combination, chicken and bacon barbecue, sausage and mushroom, and a couple more. All perfectly baked, with a crust that’s good and chewy but still has that lightly almost burned edge that a great pizza has.And at $6 for two big slices and s drink you can’t beat it. They had other good specials too, like lasagna and bread sticks.Service was fast and friendly, and the other food I saw people eating looked excellent. Overall I’d definitely go back anytime.

Tony's Italian Restaurant

I'm new to Bremerton and I was told that Tony's was a must visit place so I tried it for dinner. The views from the sunroom and one dining room are beautiful, full on Oyster Bay vista. The staff is friendly and professional. I found the pizza to be just okay. It didn't have much Italian Sausage on it and I would have have liked more. The restaurant has old, faded Polaroid photos of customers mounted all over walls and columns. Also, plenty of plastic plants. I get the nostalgia vibe, but at some point nostalgia just becomes old and tacky and I believe that they are at that point. It is time to freshen up the environment and celebrate the stunning views with a cleaner, updated look. I will go back here and try a pasta dish, I saw some that looked promising and I really appreciated the staff.

La Fermata

Reviewed By cassandra2009

I've spent a lot of time in many regions of Italy, and I've never encountered anything resembling what I was served at La Fermata. The food was pretty substandard and clearly undeserving of the praise heaped upon it by other reviews. The polenta terrine was not a terrine. It was two dry, overcooked slices of polenta on a mess of a gloopy, unidentifiable cheese and a roasted pepper sauce that tasted more Mexican than Italian. The pappardelle Bolognese consisted of heavy noodles which were stuck together, with a passable ragu on top. It was clear that the pasta was not handled properly after being cooked, left to congeal, then placed on the plate without ensuring that the sauce coated the pasta. What a mess. The server was very nice, but she was handling two rooms and pouring drinks with assistance from only one other person. Clearly this place needs at least one more server and a new cook.
