A family of 6 and baby seated at a table with plenty of space. Cosy, and tastefully decorated, friendly but efficient. Different and interesting menu with plenty of choice though limited vegetarian selection. Food was excellent, fresh and well cookedCan thoroughly recommend. Would definitely return if we come back to the area.

I stopped there last Friday towards the end of lunchtime looking for something that was light, quick and tasty. I have to say the day's special, a toasted ciabatta with crispy bacon, blue cheese and sundried tomato was excellent, one of the best hot sandwiches I have ever tasted. Coffee was good too.

I picked up two tartlets from Heaven’s Cakes in the English Market and wish I had bought more! They were only €2 each, which seems amazing really. They were both fruit-nut combinations – one had plums on top while the other had rhubarb and the nuts were pistachio and almond. Both were delicious and I have to say I preferred them to the tart I tried from the Queen of Tarts in Dublin a few days later. Heaven’s cakes tarts and pastries are a little more rustic looking but I actually prefer them that way. I’m also giving them 4/5 “green stars” for social and environmental impact. Here are some pros and cons:Pro: You’re supporting an independent, family-run business. They provide a simple paper bag (preferable to boxes with plastic windows). They appear to support community events like a healthy eating day at a local schoolCons: I don’t know much about their ingredients – would be nice to know a few things, e.g., are eggs free range? Any organic ingredients used? Where is fruit sourced? Etc. Interested in writing green star reviews? If so, contact me! (greenstarsproject)

Just stayed the night. Had a good dinner. Reasonably priced. Private car park, locked during the night. 24 hours someone at the desk. Left before breakfast, but don't doubt it would have been fine. Only down was the shower. I could not get it warm. Room was fine, although tv did not work for some reason. But all relative small issues for a one nighter. Slept excellent.

I’m a big fan of Copper Grove. First of all the staff and management are always on top of their game - service is excellent. To top it all the food, the portion size and the variety on the menu is superb. I recommend booking in advance - especially on Sunday’s as Copper Grove is very popular with locals.

I was recently passing through Bandon around lunchtime and called in here. There is an excellent choice of specials available on their lunch menu. I chose the chicken wrap with spices salad and fries. The chicken was delicious and freshly prepared. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The lunch special for €9.99 including coffee was outstanding value for the meal I thoroughly enjoyed.

Stopped in for lunch today. Busy at lunchtime although I didn’t have a reservation the welcoming staff found me a table immediately. First impressions........acknowledged instantly by the Polish girl behind the bar who also served me. Spotlessly clean bar/restaurant. I had the seafood chowder with chicken sandwich. OMG......the chowder is a memorable experience. Sandwich tasty also. Very nice lunch menu. Could not fault this place on my first visit. I cannot wait to return for dinner. Well done, a great advertisement for West Cork hospitality. GQ
