With family we had been to visit a Melanesian Village and on the return tour hotel our driver drove into this restaurant parking area.We alighted and walked through a lush tropical garden to a wonderful outdoor restaurant on the edge of Emten Lagoon.This was another piece of paradise on a small island paradise with a wonderful menu and the best seafood pasta that I have ever eaten.Everyone of our party was thrilled with this place and the children loved feeding the fish in the lagoon.Thoroughly recommend it.

The rooms here are nice, cleaned daily and the grounds are well maintained. The local staff are friendly and helpful. A 1km downhill walk into Santo. Would recommend a taxi back up the hill for 200 Vatu. Nice views and a pool to relax in. A little on the pricey side for food and drinks. The food is also very hit and miss. I had 2 out of 5 good meals, the fish Thai curry was great. Steak was not cooked to request and pork belly was not crispy. If diving, they have a really good wash bay for dive gear. A nice place to stay, I would definitely stay here again.

This is well known amongst ex-pats and frequent visitors as a great place to relax and chill out for a drink or a meal. A nice pool adds to the atmosphere that i believe is accessible to guests. The menu has a good range, the prices are fair and the staff are the usual friendly and helpful people that you expect in this part of the world. If something that you have ordered does not show up, give them a prompt as "island time" tells us that orders get lost or delayed on occasions. If this worries you, take a holiday in a different country !!!!Visited a few times for lunch and/or drinks so cannot comment on the dinner meals, but expect the to be perfectly reasonable. Overall this comes across as a great establishmentThank you for taking the time to post a review on Tripadvisor. We have been working on our menus and introduced some new items on our breakfast and lunch menus and will be shortly adding more options to our Dinner menu. Our staff are a great asset to the hotel and have always had great feedback from our guests. What a fantastic location, right on the harbour edge amongst the yachts. Our fish and chips was OK. The fish was a bit tough. Iâve had better meals on previous visits. No problems with overcharging and the bill was printed from their System.Dear RagdadThank you for your feedback. I was sorry to read that your fish and chips was not upto standard. Thank you for confirming that the bill and charging was ok. We have been having problems with our POS system and it takes time to obtain replacements from Australia.

Firstly, the service was good and the staff did a great job. The setting is great and we appreciated the comfy chairs to relax in after our meal. We found the food was very expensive and tasteless. One of us had the green curry which was nothing like green curry, more watery than curry. Another had the prawn rissotto which was more like fried rice. The entree was 1200vtv for a few small pieces of polenta. We spent over $110AUD on 2 mains, 1 starter and 1 beer.

This was a little hidden gem recommended by our taxi driver. There was a great choice on the menu, from a light meal to a full meal. Mostly I agree with other reviewers about the food and location. But I did have a bit of a problem with the atmosphere. There was live music but it was far too loud meaning that everyone had to speak loudly to be heard. With everyone speaking loudly it was hardly a relaxing atmosphere.The other problem we had was on arrival. There were 5 of us and they said they didnât have space despite the fact that there were three empty tables for two right in front of us. After some discussion, they agreed to push two tables together and seat us there. How hard was that? But clearly, they didnât want to make this tiny extra effort to accommodate us.HI Ron, thank you for your review and nice comments about our food and location. Im sorry the atmosphere wasn't to your liking. We were fully booked on the day you arrived as most of our Sunday lunches are now as our live music on a Sunday is very popular. As reviewers will see we are very accommodating with all guest and visitor requests but we do point out the tables you mention were available were the side tables in the entrance to the restaurant which we are an issue to rearrange easily without disturbing others. Reservations in advance are recommended but we will always do our utmost to find a table for anyone who comes to visit us and it is rare to turn anyone away.Im glad we found room for your group and if live music isn't your thing then Saturdays are also a very popular day at Tamanu as well and would be very happy to welcome you then.Thanks again for visiting Tamanu and experiencing our restaurant and do hope to see you back againBest regardsGlen

Set on a hill overlooking the Port Vila harbour, went for our 10th wedding anniversary and weren't disappointed. Meals are five star with views to match. Staff are friendly and attentive. The briased beef cheeks and coconut prawns for mains were great. Entree the camarilised scallops.
