The two of us choose for the tapasmenu. We already noticed low number of staff.For us it ment long waits in between although we mentioned several times to staff. Staff admitted being understaffed.The tapas itself: there is only a few words for it: just fitting the size.No fantasy, no flavour and the pieces of meat I tasted were dry and tasteless.We made our remarks again paying but instead of a little bit of compassion in any kind of way, we just encountered denial.Never again.

Took my wife there for our 30th wedding anniversary as we had eaten there before. It was a Monday night so the restaurant wasn't busy. I had the Duck spring roll and my wife the salmon for starters and then we both had the Tornedos for the main followed by chocolate fondant and tart au citron. The steaks were soft juicy and perfectly cooked. The service however was so slow! There seemed to be just 2 girls for the whole restaurant which shouldn't have been a problem if they worked faster than a crawl. At the end of the meal we noticed that there weren't any girls to be seen anywhere, and the table for 5 next to us got up and helped themselves to desert menus. We were waiting to pay so in the end resorted to going to the reception desk and asking for our bill. I even thought twice about giving them an average score so i guess you can put that down to the chef.

Wij hadden hier een Social Deal. Maar deze was zijn geld dubbel en dwars waard. Ik had hier ook de volle mep betaald voor de geleverde service en het heerlijke 3 gangen menu. Jammer dat ik alleen een foto gemaakt heb van het nagerecht. Je wordt hier echt niet teleurgesteld. Zeer de moeite waard om dit restaurant te bezoeken.Ook een heel smaakvolle inrichting. Kortom, echt de moeite waard om hier te gaan dineren.

I've been here 3 or 4 times--a great place to meet friends and visit. It's a popular place at lunchtime so sometimes there is a short wait to get a table. In nice weather it's great to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful market square (a great market on Mondays and a smaller market on Friday mornings). Parking is available right in front of Zuiders (except on Monday and Friday mornings when the market is set up) or around the corner. I highly recommend Ossehaaspunt jes which is bit size pieces of beef marinated in something wonderful--very tasty! The menu is only in Dutch but the wait staff do a good job explaining what things are in English.

Where do I begin... Our hotel (just accross the street) booked us a table at this restaurant just after our check-in. We had absolutely no idea what kind of restaurant it was: they just told us that the wine was delicious and that we could have numerous courses menu. We jumped in ! When we arrived we were welcomed with a glass of Cava, a steambasket and some peanut's toast as appetizer: absolutely delicious. We chose de 8 courses menu, with the wine selection. We couldn't have done a better choice. Every single course was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The wine matched perfectely with each dish. We particularly appreciated the sympathy of the staff. They gave us an explanation about all the wines, the dishes, and the way the matched together. I ate here when on a business trip to the Netherlands, as with nearly all the restaurants I have visited in the Netherlands the food ad service were lovely. The decor is modern and the place is relaxing with superb staff who spoke perfect English and were happy to explain the dishes to me. I had 3 courses and thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here. It is not on of the top restaurants of the town but it might be the best of its kind. The service is very attentive, and very helpful with the description of the menu (all in Dutch) and recommendations.The cook gets very well attempted dishes and sauces. fair selection of wines to go with.We were there two days, ate different meals each days and were very pleased with everything. The good environment of the bar made us feel at home (although it was obvious that we were the only foreigners there)
