The food was creative and elegant. The fish was dry and too many marshmallows in several causes.For a Michelin recommended restaurant I was surprised over the level of service. Wine was not served equally to the table, some only having a taste others more than a full glass. Difficult to get eye contact with a waiter.

If you`re interested in the art of cuisine, visiting Tom Wickboldt`s in Esplanade hotel will certainly pursue your interests.The food is absolutely delicious â certainly not overthought and the clear and sublime tastes and magnificent presentation are the absolute forte of the place and its chef, turning dinner into an unforgettable experience. The chef uses the freshest ingredients, often resorting to herbs and fruits which can be found in the area. At first we were a bit uncertain of how many dishes we should order for dinner, but the waiter advised going for three, which proved absolutely right, given the fact that during the evening we were also served some extras with greetings from the kitchen. It was wise to choose the option of wine pairing rather than choosing wine on our own. Not only did this enable us to experience the dishes to the fullest â just as the chef and the sommelier had imagined them, but also it gave us the opportunity to taste some very interesting wines, many of which I had never seen on sale.I was delighted with âcevishe vom kingfishâ and the coriander and yoghurt sorbet, which â together with the tiny drops of limegel, made a beautiful opposition to the meaty and solid kingfish, not only enlivening the dish but also making you unable to stop smiling. Though my main course (the perfectly cooked pike perch with mussles) was delicious, it was the dessert that brought even bigger smile to my face. â âFresh and Funkyâ smelled of a hot Summer afternoon: the smell of pineapple was enhanced by the warming notes of ginger and prolonged by the flat scent of basil. What is more, all the aromas I could smell the moment the waiter placed the plate in front of me were beautifully reflected in the taste of the dish. All this â together with the calmingly sweet taste of Korrell Beerenauslese, made the dish an unforgettable experience and a prefect finish of the fresh and envigorating menu.

Wir waren zum Frühstück im Tropenhaus Café. Das Frühstück wird als kaltes Buffet serviert, warme Speisen kann man dazubestellen. Viele Kleinigkeiten und Leckereien reihten sich auf dem Tresen aneinander, nicht nur sehr hübsch anzusehen sondern auch lecker. Für die Kinder gibt es ein Spielzimmer, so dass die Eltern noch einen 2 Kaffee genieÃen können. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das ist leider in den Kaiserbädern keine Selbstverständlichkeit.

Marc O'Polo beach(strand)casino in the center of Heringsdorf on peninsula Usedom is a great asset to this Baltic seaside resort. It is a beautiful eye-catcher and being a conceptstore this includes a trendy dress shop on the ground floor, 2 restaurants on the first floor of which OâROOM is rated with 1 star Michelin. On the first floor you can also find a wine shop with possibilities for wine tasting and a nice bar. The building has an open floor plan, which makes it appear as spacious. The entrance to the first floor is from the dress shop with a beautiful staircase. In front of the building is a nice and spacious terrace, where the Bungalo is located. This is a wagon type mobile unit from where food and drinks are sold. The terrace offers plenty of space to enjoy the park-like surroundings. The management has clearly opted for a relaxed and casual approach. This means, among other things, that staff do not wear company uniforms, but their own casual clothes. This can sometimes be confusing when you can not always recognize who is staff or guest. Some staff members wear an apron with, for example, O'NE, the name of one of the two restaurants. During my stay in Heringsdorf I had twice dinner at OâNE, had once dinner at the fine dining restaurant OâROOM and had drinks and snacks on the terrace at Bungalo. For OâNE and OâROOM I will write separate reviews. The lady with black hair who works in the Bungalo had an off-day or she does not like her work, because she came across as very customer-unfriendly. But, all in all, Marc O'Polo is of course a great asset to Heringsdorf, especially in the culinary field, where mediocrity seems to be the standard.

Also Gosch ist Gosch⦠ein guter Imbiss mit gehobenen Anspruch, nicht das was auf Sylt seinen Ursprung hat sondern etwas anders aber trotzdem mit Charme⦠ein Bistro wo aber man höre das Preis Leistungsverhältnis sich nicht so überschlägt, wie manch andere Restaurant im Umfeld, man genieÃt und schlemmt ein wenig, nicht zu vergleichen

Es ist selten, dass ich in die Not komme, nur einen Punkt (= ungenügend) zu vergeben. Warum dann hier und jetzt? Wir wollten Kaffee und Eis mit auÃer Haus nehmen und es wurde uns dann seitens Service auch mitgeteilt, dass dies möglich ist. Am Ende des Tages verlieÃen wir das Restaurant nur mit Eis. Es ist nicht erforderlich auf alle Details einzugehen, aber es Bedarf noch einiger Verbesserungen im Service-Ablauf, um hier Frustration auf Kunden- wie Angestelltenseite zu vermeiden. Generell wirkten die Mitarbeiter trotz der gemäÃigten Kundenzahl gestresst, unorganisiert und unkonzentriert. Dies wirkte sich dementsprechend auf die Freundlichkeit gegenüber uns als Kunden aus. An sich wirkte das Restaurant/Café ansprechend auf uns und gerne geben wir der WeiÃen Düne eine zweite Chance, wenn sich Servicestruktur und -ablauf verbessert haben. Ein kleines Bonmot noch zum Schluss. Beim Eisverkauf werden nur Scheine bis 20 EUR akzeptiert. Echt jetzt? Leider konnten uns die Gründe hierfür nicht erklärt werden. Ach ja, das Eis schmeckte uns dann leider noch nicht.

Perhaps it's unfair to compare, because we'd just come from Berlin, but the food seemed expensive (about 20-25 euro mains) and the food was ok, but not great. It tasted somewhat institutional - like it had been previously frozen. However, without a car, there wasn't much close by for dinner, so we just went with it. It was fine, but I wouldn't travel here to eat.
