Clearly popular little eatery that also serves two large beers for 3 EUR by far the best price we've found. On a busy road with cars barreling straight through the charming little town but no bother as this operation seems guaranteed to offer a pleasant gastronomic experience and is a super little spot to dwell with a drink.

Do you want imaginative and amazing tasty food at reasonable prices with fantastic service in Maspalomas? Well go to Wapa Tapa - such a great quaint restaurant which is impeccably run by the owners - they treat you as a long lost friend and go out of their way to ensure your night is wonderful. The food includes a range of traditional and unique tapas dishes. The restaurant has the right approach to the menu - small-medium sized menu executed perfectly. My favourite dishes are: Black pudding and quails egg; steak; ribs and the lamb chops. A true gem in the Yumbo - I have never had better tapas. I cannot wait to return in the new year.

Follow the sign boards away from the main square and down the steep, narrow street. We booked for dinner, earlier than most locals, but the place filled later in the evening. Very friendly and attentive staff, food prepared fresh and all tasted good. Good selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices.Went back a couple of days later for coffee in the courtyard. Very pleasant haven from the busy Sunday market.

From the moment you go into buddies to the moment you go they look after you so well. Prices are very reasonable and food is very good . If like me and want fish and chips it's the best around . Want to say many thanks for Steve and the rest of the gang for making us so welcome.We will be back that's for sure.

Our favourite restaurant on the island and our third visit in nine months, El Apendre definitely deserves the epithet âhidden gemâ situated close to the village of La Sorrueda high in the mountains about 50 minutes drive from Maspalomas. The drive up is nothing short of spectacular with stunning views back down to the coastline and the roads are excellent and well maintained. Head towards the regional town of Santa Lucia and then take left fork at the local white walled cemetery signposted to La Sorrueda and La Fortaleza. Follow the minor road down the hill, ignore a right hand sign to the village and you will see the restaurant ahead of you. Parking is opposite along the side of the road.Food here is simple tapas with a choice of meats veg and salad and very generously proportioned. The setting is divine with the majority of tables outside on a small shaded terrace with the smell of wood smoke and peaceful countryside all around. Lunch today consisted of a simple tuna and egg salad starter followed by pork chops, local sausage cooked with apples and dates and Canarian potatoes on the side. As always we ordered more than we could manage but thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. The restaurant is run by what I assume is a husband and wife team. English is spoken enough to get by and they DO take credit cards, but this is definitely not your usual tourist fare. Including coffee and liqueurs total bill today was â¬35.Make sure you take a walk to the end of the track afterwards - lovely views over the valley will be your reward.An alternative route back to the motorway can take you via Cocodrilo Park a fabulous animal sanctuary about half an hour away to complete a wonderful day out in the mountains.

We were staying on holiday in the area and wanted to stay away from the usual overpriced tourist trap restaurants. Found this place on TripAdvisor and so glad we did, the best meal we have had all week. The family who run it are from Uruguay so they know how to cook meat! The parillada for 2 (mixed grill for 2) is excellent value for £28 euros and easily fed three, 2 thick entrecôte steaks, chorizo, chicken , pork and some further cuts of steak served with home made chips, salad and the most delicious home made chimichurri. The staff were also so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is in the San Fernando area a few minutes after the market, so if you have a car get yourself over there you wonât regret it.Thank you very much for your opinion! We work a daily to get the best dishes we can and the joy that our customers value the quality of the food and our work! We are waiting for you at Candombe BAR! Firstly this restaurant refused to send me a menu in advance - apparently not company policy, which is ridiculous. So you take a risk that it offers food and cooking style that you may or may not like. Secondly the prices shown on the menu once you are there do not include tax (not made clear at all} so when you get the bill that is then added. Never had that from a reputable restaurant before. Thirdly they overcharged for a glass of wine hoping we wouldn't notice. The food is reasonable buit not exceptional and it is so annoying that they behave in this way. Consequently it does not deserve its' high ratings.Apreciado"inútil y tortuosa" es lo que nos parece a nosotros su critica, Se dedica a juzgar polÃticas de empresa, no lee bien la carta en la que claramente se dice que el IGIC no esta incluido ,luego se pide una parrillada para la mesa ,tanta información para luego pedir parrilladaâ¦â¦..Lo peor le preguntamos y nos dijo que todo perfecto y ahora se dedica a escribir aquà cosas sin sentidoSeñor sinceramente su critica me parece inconsistente y realizada con un criterio nulo.

 COCO "My favourite restaurant on the face of the earth". We stumble across 'COCO' & are meet by super nice Finnish lass named Essi. My wife and I both get a buzzin vibe immediately off Essi and stay.Ive been to a few Michelin Star restaurants and let me tell you  Calabrian chef Nico is a cooking genius. I seriously rate this as 'The best culinary' experience I've had. After me interogating Nico I find out he spent 2 years in Australia cooking as well as his extensive world travel has culminated in mind blowing dishes. Essi provides the icing on the experience with her personality oozing pure genuiness. This girl just rocks it!After 3 courses, coffee and limoncello my wife and concur we have found the best restaurant on Gran Canaria by far.We return the next night, choosing totally different dishes. We have a chefs platter & we are both totally shocked that it as good if not better than our first night here. Totally fautless food, wine topped off with impeccable service.Easily the highest rating I could give any restaurant Ive been too. Ohhhhh guys thanks a lot really, I'm really happy to ear you truly enjoyed our ways.. Hopefully catch up again somewhere one day

As our daughter is a celiac, it's hard to find restaurant with Gluten Free food. We were very surprised at how many GF options has this restaurant and also how the staff is familiar with GF diet. We were totally happy and especially our daughter. Many thanks to whole staff at Bahia Grill, especially to Alejandro (or Alesandro).Peter, Jana, Emma and Anna.
