Its population in 2011 was 286 for the village and 787 for the community, which includes the villages Arkoudi, Glyfa, Ioniki and Paralia. Lygia is situated in the low hills of the southern part of the Kyllini peninsula, 3 km from the Ionian Sea. It is 4 km southeast of Kastro, 4 km east of Loutra Kyllinis and 4 km west of Vartholomio.

We went to Lefka late afternoon by bus from our accommodation in Lygia and after having a wander around and then and a quick check for places to eat on trip advisor whilst having a cocktail, we headed to Memories in the main square and we werenât disappointed! The food was delicious and the service was excellent too! My husband had the traditional lamb which was like an endless pot of tasty food and as I am vegetarian, I had succulent stuffed vine leaves and a delicious Greek salad. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and we both agreed it was the best meal of our trip so far! It was very good value for money too as we had a cocktail each and a bottle of wine and water all for under â¬60! Also the toilets were spotlessly clean which isnât always the case at some restaurants! We highly recommend it!

We recently visited and the four of us agreed, an excellent choice, just a short walk from the marina, and the perfect place for lunch. Plenty of choice of tables outside; it was early by Greek standards. Quickly given menus and drinks order taken. Drinks arrived promptly and the large beers came in frozen glasses, perfect for the 32 degree heat. Starters arrived promptly and were large and all very good. Mains arrived not long after, which happens in Greece. If you want a more leisurely meal order your starters and then your mains later. All were very generous portions. My lamb ribs consisted of 8 chops which were beautifully barbecued. Great variety of choice, great location overlooking the marina and good service, all very reasonably priced.

It s for sure an ideal spot for an early drink watcing people at shopping , Great cocktails and jazz music. Later changes to an absolutle meeting point of all people at the resort with nice dancing floor music ! Value for money the coctails !

Lovely sitting on the square, this restaurant is a gem. Good food, pretty presentation. Had a lovely surprise dessert on the house. But then it ended: 3 groups came in simultaniously and chaos began. After the dessert from the house we ordered 2 greek coffee. But after 20 minutes all the owner came to ask was if we could move to anothet table because he had a group of 8 he had to get seated....a lot of excuses and 2 free coffee later we decided to leave.

We used the Copla beach beds a total of 5 times and were lucky enough to have the same brilliant beach waiter who remembered our breakfast drinks order by the second day. The beds are twenty five euros (!) and include a bottle of water but the food is very reasonable.The menu is varied and mainly pretty healthy with lots of fresh fruit and veg and salads etc. Drinks; huge range of fresh juices and then the usual fizzy drinks and alcohol. By the afternoon the music from the beach bar/club gets a little louder. If you venture up to the beach and have a drink in Copla there is a lovely pool, a dj and a very chilled/trendy atmosphere. Slower service here but lovely surroundings.
