Bad: We booked online into the Hotel Fuhrmann staying in their guesthouse room. When we arrived we were told to go up the road to another hotel (Hotel Ellenzer Goldbäumchen) once there we were given a room in a separate building behind their hotel, they call their Annex. As we had booked through the first hotel we thought we would be on their site, having breakfast in their dining room. Not so we were in the second hotel & had no further dealings with Hotel Fuhrmann other than using their booking. Our guesthouse room was on the 3rd floor as we had used the Hotel Fuhrmann site which has a lift (did not say guesthouse in another hotel building has no lift) - we were then given a ground floor room, after complaining. A very basic room with the smallest bathroom, the toilet was badly stained/cracked, there was no plug (just a giant hole) in the basin.They have no right to advertise free WiFi as there isnât any â not in the room, the hotel entrance, dining area NO-WHERE!!!! We need internet as traveling for 6months around Europe & we were unable to book further accommodation or do our research. WiFi is a major issue when we book.Only 6 TV channels, none in English, (with no wifi unable to use our computer as a TV for English news). So were in a horrible depressing quiet room. We have paid less in the heart of some key German cities and received much better accommodation than this. Would not stay here again.Good: The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with a good selection. After issues with the WiFi the very nice person in charge gave a discount for our inconvenience (even then expensive for this standard of accommodation).

We moved to the area in September 2016 and have supper almost twice a week at this Restaurant. We have not been disappointed even once, which says a lot considering the fact that the Cochem area has many "touristy" establishments where "so-so" food is served at "tourist" prices!Experience has shown that in tourist destinations one should frequent the restaurants where the locals eat; Bosporus is such a place. The very fact that one should make reservations, even in winter, speaks for itself.The menu (unfortunately only in the German language) is extensive as can be seen on the restaurant's website.Bosporus also caters to the "take-out" customer, where one can place one's order by telephone and pick it up by the time one gets there.The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. The only drawback (but this applies to many merchants in area) is that Bosporos does not accept credit cards.In closing, if you are in the Cochem area, do give Bosporos a try; you won't regret it!

.....but only because the German football team were playing. !! However even though the staff were watching the match on a large screen in the dining area, they took our order and produced a delicious meal.

After traveling all day, I wanted something quite and easy for dinner. This place is in Sehl, which is about a 15 minute walk along the river from Cochem. All of the restaurants in Cochem were packed with people and it was a very noisy atmosphere. I wanted something more quiet, so I found this place. Looking for something quick before going to bed, I ordered a Chicken Burger. This was hands down the best chicken sandwich I've had. Came as a surprise given the name "Chicken Burger". Definitely would eat here again when I'm back in the area.

I have been going here for years. I have never accounted such poor service and attitude from staff. We waited over an hour for food. We will not be returning. I would recommend they invest more customer services training with their staff. Lovely spot which will attract customers.. but...
