We are on a family holiday and stayed at Heritance 16 years after Our first visit to this hotel. The food at kanchana was absolutely delicious. The staff was very good. Harshana and Chamara were very helpful. The buffet at kanchana was the fifth hotel buffet we had over the week long holiday and without any doubt was the best. Some of our friends say this is the best buffet in Srilanka. We agree with them.

Best Stopover for Traveler's to refresh, relax and for a snack. It served snacks, beverages and meals. Easy parking, wash rooms and also dinning facility.

We went here for lunch after visiting the caves.The restaurant caters mainly for tourists/groups.It was a buffet lunch.Some salad choices, rice, only chicken balls and grilled fish as mains, some cooked vegetables, dahl, pappadam, chutney. All the food was luke warm at best. As desert fresh fruits, a mousse and small pieces of tiramisu. Tea and coffee included, but we were only offered that at the end, the same with the wet towel.Regarding the price, 10 dollar, before service and tax, it was too expensive for what you get.A beer 1,70 euro, a diet coke 1,80 euro before service and tax.Reasonable service. Clean toilets.

Like the previous reviewer SDT, I ordered the Heritance Touch rice and curry. I would highly recommend it. The portions were sizeable. And the price was good.I also ordered a fish the following night and it was good.The ambience was good. Perhaps they meant for an unhurried meal but I agree that service was slow and not attentive, even though there were not many people.

Whilst staying in Sundaras resort and Spa we ate at the restaurant.Food is fresh and well prepared. The service is very friendly . Some might say it lacks charm but the staff do all possible to make your dinner a pleasant experience and as the food is tasty , they succeed.
