we were hosted at Rancho encantado so we had a chance to go through the menu and we highly recommend the octopus and the filet mignon! the view is spectacular! We even had our engagement dinner there! they set a nice table on the privit deck and they make everything run smooth. Itzel was our waiter for that dinner and she was the best.

Los Aluxes in Bacalar was close to my hostel on the lagoon. I ate pork pibil and it was good.I think this restaurant caters to families and groups, I didn't feel comfortable as a solo diner and neither did my friends who came as a couple for a birthday dinnerHelloThank you for your visit.On the other hand we appreciate your comment as it helps us to be better every day.Best regards.

We are all proud of our town, out Nation, our local heritage. And while Manatà is charming by most small town standards, the âattitudeâ resembles visiting the Louvre in Paris where treasures are shown. Art installs were radical, yet far from world shaking. The food was good; tasty, yet unexceptional. This little place raises the game for Bacalar without putting forth a distinctive, authentic contribution to art. Frankly, the art was somewhat poor. Itâs not like there are better places like it in Bacalar. Itâs just that sone of us are neither local nor inclined to overrate the local âattemptâ out of national loyalty. If you want to play Big, be big â raise your offering 2x.

All the workers were really nice! Food was outstanding with a unique taste especially the classic Burger. They make homemade french fries and they are very good! They are ecologist (can be more)They make sparkling lemon very good with agava suger. In 4 days stay in Bacalar we ate there twice + another time just for coffee and cookies, coffee could be improved and cookies were good!

The food is good at times (eg the seared tuna my wife had), especially at the low prices being charged. However the service is just shockingly bad. It took 1hr for us to receive our garlic bread starter which was sorely disappointing. Simply adding a lot of butter and oil to something does not make it good. It was also extremely salty. 20mins later my âstarterâ came - which consisted of a salad drenched in mayo. Shortly thereafter came my steak. I ordered a fillet, however clearly the skirt steak was served. After this long a wait I had no inclination to send it back and ate what I could. The most appalling part is that despite me sending back half of my food and the long wait times, at no point did someone ask if everything was ok or even offer an apology. I guess you get what you pay for.
