Discover Restaurants offering the best Indian food in Twickenham, England, United Kingdom. Twickenham is a suburban area and town in Greater London, lying on the River Thames 10.2 miles west-southwest of the centre of London. It has an extensive town centre and is famous as being the home of rugby union, with hundreds of thousands of spectators visiting Twickenham Stadium, the world's largest rugby stadium, each year. The historic riverside area is famous for its network of 18th-century buildings and pleasure grounds, many of which survive intact. This area has three grand period mansions with public access: York House, Marble Hill and Strawberry Hill House. Another has been lost, that belonging to 18th-century aphoristic poet Alexander Pope. Among these is the Neo-Gothic prototype home of Horace Walpole which has given its name to a whole district, Strawberry Hill, and is linked with the oldest Roman Catholic university in the country, St Mary's University, Twickenham.

Really friendly staff willing to change dishes to suit needs, great menu of Nepalese food and traditional Indian favourites .Visit on Thursday night this was the only Indian that had customers eating, again another very good sign. Very good portions, momos seemed very popular as a starter and the grilled meat as main courses were very well done. This was a group visit and everyone was extremely happy with the food, service and cost.this is my main recommendation for anyone in Twickenham who wants a outstanding curry.

The food here is great! I really enjoy ordering a variety of really hot, sweet and savory dishes that all compliment each other. They have just renovated the inside of the restaurant so it feels very intimate. The staff were friendly and respectful. I will be returning and would recommend the restaurant to anyone who enjoys Indian Cuisine.

Let's start with the positives- delicious food. Asparagus, popcorn prawns, paneer all cooked to perfection. The food was brilliant. But this place needs to get its act together elsewhere."Asian tapas" is a neat concept but falls apart when the first plates are brought within 25 minutes and the next ones are over an hour after that. The spacing was just silly. We finished our bottle of wine before our second round of "plates" and were not offered any more drinks at any point. When our first (dirty) plate was taken away, we were given a replacement with cutlery essentially chucked on it. No thank you after we'd paid- and we needed to work quite hard to even get the bill.It could be a great restaurant but there are some glaring issues they need to address before that is the case. Let's hope they do.Dear Andrew Many thanks for your valuable insights on the areas of improvement at Una. We shall discuss all the valid points raised and shall share this review with our staff during our next briefing. Slight tweaks can help improve your dining experience, and we will implement all that has been suggested. We hope to see you back soon Regards Una Management

Now feel like regulars here. Another excellent meal. Food and service of a high standard. May not be the most unusual curries, but portions are good and they are not greasy and floating in ghee. Chicken Masaladar is tomatoey and rich and Saag paneer is delicious. Flavours are distinct and meat is tender. Doggy bags for leftovers are happily provided.

I've been to this place a lot over the years, with friends and family, especially as it has always had a strong veggie bias. I think it started out wholly vegetarian, but Twickenham wasn't ready for that. I admit I haven't been for a few months but I took a veggie friend there tonight for a quick supper. It was dreadful. I've put 2 stars out of respect for previous meals. I had to apologise to my friend for bringing him here under false pretenses. Soggy popadoms and standard cheap chutneys from a jar. None of that chopped fresh onion and mint. Then a lurid looking dahl, mostly a rather metallic, tomato sauce and a few split peas in it. No spices or real flavour to speak of. The vegetable curry seemed to be in the same sauce with a few peas, maybe a bit of cauliflower and a couple of bits of potato. Nothing nice about it at all. The 4 little puris looked like those 1960 party snack cheese footballs. Filled with some yoghurt and a sweet, sticky jam. Seemed more like the pudding. Looked bought in. Staff fairly off hand. No one asked how our meal was or took any interest, so guys, now you know. Maybe this was a one off, but it looked like something had fundamentally changed from what used to be a little bit of excellence. Decor has changed. Some tacky photos, carvings and fairy lights.I fear it's changed hands. No sign of the engaging staff of old. Sorry, won't be back unless I hear positive reports very soon. You've lost a customer.

The restaurant is large and has a very nice interior. The staff were so welcoming and very professional. A real effort was made. There were some complementary starter snacks which were a nice touch. I found the rest of the food to be underwhelming. The main dish was just like a very average medium curry, despite it being a vindaloo. The flavour wasn't great at all. Maybe it was a bad night as there are many other good reviews here.

It's a very small place and it would be best to book. We were welcomed and drinks and poppadums arrived quickly. We did then wait a while for our actual food, but the owner/manager apologised saying they were exceptionally busy as lots of takeaway orders had come at once. I was inclined to feel that customers in the actual restaurant should take precedence, but I suppose Indian restaurants must rely heavily on takeaways to keep going. When our food arrived it was absolutely excellent. I had never had palak pakora chaat, which was deepfried spinach leaves in batter, very crunchy. This would go soggy in a takeaway BTW. The tandoori lamb chops were fantastic, thick, juicy and good value. Onion bahji sizzling and crunchy. We again had an apology for the delay; all the food is freshly cooked to order. We will certainly go here again. There were three or four groups of family with children, and everybody was treated individually. It's more for local residents than a large group of rugby fans who want to mop up their lager fast.
