We were greeted very friendly. The menu and dishes were explained and the service was excellent. The food was the best curry we ever had at the south coast. The lamb corma was tender, rich and tasty. I had the vegtable brinjane, nice and spicy. Will defnitely visit again. Thank You.

Most decidedly the best curry dishes in the country.You are served by the owner himself, which is always a winning recipe.They have moved into smaller premises with a local atmosphere but maintained the cleanliness and most importantly they kept the great quality of their indian cuisine.A must try is the Mutton Curry and Rotti's.

My family and I spent the past weekend on holiday at the South Coast, for my parents 45th wedding anniversary. While out, looking for a good place to eat on Sunday, 3thd June, we stumbled upon the most amazing Indian restaurant. Walking in, we were greeted by the friendly manager and waitress, who showed us to an immaculately clean and beautiful seating area. We proceeded to order starters that were by far amongst the best we have had. The brinjal starter is a must to try!!! Oozing melted cheese and crispy on the outside. Free tasters were brought to our table, allowing us to taste the food before we had even ordered. Needless to say..the tasters were tantalising, leaving us eager for the arrival of our main meals. We were fortune to meet with the owner, Bala, who was warm and friendly and even invited as into the kitchen to view the preparation of our meals. This has got to be a first of its kind restaurant, which is so deeply committed to cleanliness, quality and excellence, that they are confident enough to have an open kitchen that customers can walk into at any time. Our main meals were Superb, full of flavour instead of chilli, which is exactly how home cooked south African Indian cuisine should be. To the staff and owners of Genuine Indian Cuisine, no occasion is complete without good food....and your food was simply amazing, bringing a perfect end to our wonderful weekend. And to the chef, your passion for creating delicious dishes is evident in every meal that leaves your kitchen. Do not leave the South coast without sitting down for a meal at Genuine Indian Cuisine.It was an honour having you guys here and thank you for the time you took to write up this looovely review.
