This is the second time I have eaten at Bihari in Newlands. The food is tasty, and you can have it spiced in the way you would like. But the portions are huge! This time we ordered one starter to share, a main each, and a naan each. It was still too much! As for the food itself, it was tasty. Tasty biryani (with rose water maybe- a little unusual but not too sweet) and delicious butter chicken. And yummy naans!Service was also friendly and efficient!All in all a good evening :)

The fixed menu gives an amazing range of tastes, in a great atmosphere with really helpful and friendly staff. 16 dishes over 3 courses with nothing too fiery and all beautifully presented. Lager not needed! Their interesting wines compliment the food. I took our family including my three very discerning adult lads who rated it simply the best Indian/fusion food they had tasted.

Eating at this restaurant in Cape Town was a superb experience. The setting is aesthetically beautiful, the service from our waiter Mathew was outstanding, the food was delicious. Just loved every minute and morsel. If I return to Cape Town this would be my first choice of where to eat.
