This restaurant is always top of my list for at least one meal when I'm visiting my family in Ipswich each year. I wish there was food like this where I live in California!We are always greeted as regulars with a friendly smile and great service and food suggestions. Excellent and vast choice of menu items to keep everyone happy. We ordered three different curry's, side dishes and naan bread through the Just Eat app. Our meals arrived within a reasonable time, food was hot and tasty. Good sized chunks of chicken breast cooked to perfection. Could not fault any dish, will order again in the future.

What a wonderful Indian this is. Took mother & fathering law for his birthday. They thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Ate every bit of it. Service is very friendly. Going again this week with a friend. Would recommend to all.

So glad we found this lovely friendly restaurant!We were staying a five minute walk away so it was very convenient, although there is car parking nearby.Lovely atmosphere and staff to match - we were cold when we arrived and our waitress immediately offered us a table by a radiator - very thoughtful.Not a huge menu choice - but thatâs not a criticism - everything is freshly prepared and cooked in the âopenâ kitchen. It was brilliant to see the chef making the nan breads (which were amazing!)Authentic food at reasonable prices in a contemporary setting. Canât wait for a return visit when we are next in Suffolk!

I used to visit regularly this place for casual dinner or lunch. Mango Chutney and Mango Lassi is awesome. Hyderabadi dum Biryani is a must eat here. I am sure everybody will love it. Service is superb. Indian bread is not upto mark with authentic Indian bread. It is a place one can go casually or even party there. They also deliver at home.

Already great reviews and Maharani did not disappoint at all! The food was excellent and the service too. Very helpful staff and a great menu which had all the classic dishes and in addition a great selection of chefs specialities for a bit more choice too. Would definitely recommend visiting Maharani.

I have read many reviews of the Biryani hut, yesterday I found myself in the right place, at the right time. I wasn't surprised to see a small queue, it's popular. My short wait was compensated by some great food. I opted for the prawn biryani meal deal, but upgraded the included drink to a mango lassi. The meat samosa and onion bhaji to start were lovely. The biryani was excellent, well cooked and well flavoured. The Dahl that was served on top of it was like the icing on a cake, perfect. I can't wait for another visit. : D

First time to this restaurant, lovely tasty food, good price. Friendly staff . After we had ordered we had a bit of a wait but were given a drink on the house Which they didn't have to do. Good atmosphere , will definitely be going again and have recommended it to friends.

I don't eat a lot of Indian as my Wife doesn't like Indian flavours. I really fancied a lamb chilli tikka masala so went to the place I used to go to. Staff friendly, had a Cobra while I waited in a very relaxed atmosphere.Food excellent and I realised how much I miss these flavours and also this restaurant.Free parking around the back is a huge bonus!!!Highly recommended

Headed here on a Saturday night. Fairly busy so had to book. Great selection of gluten free, interior and restaurant area very nicely decorated and done. Poppadoms came with the best chutney selection Iâve ever had at any Indian - very good. Starters ok - shamee kebab and girlfriends lamb dish a bit dry. Mains very very good though - rice perfectly portioned too - a very good main! Staff very friendly - would certainly return.
