Old Indian house Letterkenny is a great place with a great menu, I've never had a bad meal here yet. I ate here with my girlfriend on Friday night. I had the Chingri Massala which was perfect, spicy but not too hot, and my girlfriend had the Korma which also got a thumbs up from her. The waiters are also great, very attentive and have an excellent knowledge of the menu. I highly recommend old Indian house , and it's the best Curry Restaurant . They have comments card for customer review . They are very professional.

Fresh from the tender mercies of Bus Eireann - surely the worst so-called express bus service in Western Europe - and looking for a fast snack, we went across the Tesco roundabout to the bottom of the Port Road and discovered a choice of takeaways. Tasty, quick, hot, friendly (sudden brainwave...could Desi and Bus E. swop staff?)Who's Shirley?PS Mind your luggage on the bus...the driver doesn't even get out of his seat

Popped in here(believe it is upstairs from memory)about a year ago with my cousin who took me into letterkenny for a curry.We had the typical popadums followed by sheek kebab starters and then two chicken dishes with two naan/keema naans.Wow,i have never had bigger servings in any indian restaurant and the naan alone would have fed me full.The staff in here were very helpful but if you do visit here be prepared to leave food on your plate.One naan will do two of you.Great food in a great country.

Been many times to Shapla and forget to tell trip readers. Calm interior beside the busy road. Tasty food, lovely flavours, light nan breads, nice texture to the lentil dhal, meaty lamb dishes were robust and authentic. Polite service and overall great value.

The restaurant itself is lovely, clean and decorated to standard.The tandoori lamb chops were amazing (so says my nephew), some of us really enjoyed the puri, but some thought it was bland (they were the ones who like the really spicy curry so that might explain that)The mains were good, however we specifically asked for the cauliflower to be al dente and it was very soft and there wasnât enough mushrooms in the mushroom bahji. Overall, it was a good curry and we would eat there again.

This is a lovely restaurant, great service lovely environment with beautifully dressed tables and nice glasses, we chose the early bird menu for e14.95 which included some popadoms and sauces with an onion and tomato salad, a choice of starters and mains and tea and coffee. The full menu is also available and is large and varied. The vegetarian options are very good too Whilst we were dining a family with small children came in and they were well looked after, children seats were brought to them and they seemed content with the menu also! If you are in the area do give this a try!
