Walked in to the resturant with my French Partners and WOW it was as if we were sitting at our neighbours place for the food. Everything was excellent. The moment we walked in to the time we left we never understood we were at a different nation, The best of the hospitality and best of the Indian cuisine and the smile of and ASIAN was the cherry on the cake. It was excellent Indian food and specifically teh tIKKA MASALA was ----- out of the world.

Took a trip to lorient from where we were staying near quimperle to have dinner at le ghandi following recommendations from previous diners on trip advisor. Arrived around 7:30 and were the only ones there, atmosphere and decor very Indian, decorations heavily eastern with accompanying music! Waiter pleasant and spoke some English, turns out he has relations in England (high Wycombe and Slough) and as we come from NW London neither were too far away. Service very quick, the portions are slightly smaller than in the Uk but seem to be a better cut of meat. The madras is hot but slightly milder than it's British cousins version! Thevrestaurant became busier and, a pet hate of mine, a couple of ladies came in to dine accompanied by their dog. Very common on the continent I know but still leaves me uncomfortable (an English thing I guess)The bill was slightly more than expected at â¬55 for 3 people with only soft drinks and a bottle of beer no starters no deserts but overall a nice dinner much enjoyed by all

We arrived at noon for lunch and when it eventually opened we were the first customers. We ordered chicken madras, chicken vindaloo, Butter chicken and chicken jalfrezi together with four plain nan.The waiter asked how the vindaloo was to be prepared, and I confirmed tres fort (very hot).A 50cl carafe of wine arrived, and after about 30 minutes, during which time two separate couples arrived and ordered, our rice arrived. A few minutes later along came the curries.The vindaloo was not very spicy, but that may be the English pallette. The madras was OK, the butter chicken not good, but the jalfrezi was nice.The meals when served were not very hot (temperature), as though they had been insufficiently heated through, or been left whilst waiting to be served. After a good 10 minutes we stopped eating as we were still waiting for our nan bread. Three eventually arrived, and as we were finishing our meals the fourth was served.In all the service was poor, the indian food had potential but was let down by the service and poor attention to detail, not hot enough (temperature). Perhaps we are spoilt in that every UK city has dozens of indian Restaurants, and our favourite meal when we eat out is often as not, curry.We assume the man who opened the restaurant, was also the waiter, cook and chief bottle washer.The restaurant could do with a face lift, the carpet between tables is very dirty and grubby, beyond a carpet cleaner.
