We were looking for some where to have a evening out, not familiar with Curry House's in ~Bexhill and like many dubious about first times. But what a meal and the people were so pleasant totally enjoyed. Reasonable price, not cheap but right side of expensive. Strangely we were in Currys Bexhill buying a tablet and they recommended which with hind-sight is quite odd and potentially risky.

Another lovely visit to Amiraâs with a group of friends for an evening meal. Of particular highlight this time were the coconut chilli chicken and also the pudding! I never usually order pudding after curry but the caramel apple pie was delicious. I also enjoyed the dark and stormy cocktail, my absolute favourite. They have a varied and well-described menu. I find in many Indian restaurants dishes emerge from the kitchen looking very similar. Here you can get dishes that are very different and complement each other. The quality was good, as was the hospitality. They even have a deal on Friday and Saturday - any starter and main, plus rice, side and naan bread for £12.95. No licence so you can bring your own alcohol with no corkage fee.

Despite being the first people of the evening the service was slow. The vegetable in our jalfrezi meals were just about cooked. Nice nan bread and excellent pilau rice but the main courses were disappointing. Overall the whole meal was overpriced and expected a higher standard for main courses, there seems to be a lack of competition in the area.

Has always been favourite Indian in Hailsham and was a bit worried to try since the refurb/new management.Food was great and always fantastic offer to collect. Only issues meat doesnât feel as good of quality as before (big juicy chicken chunks) and the onion bhaji isnât anything on the old ones, they used to be huge and crispy now flat and stodgy.

First visit to the Raipur on friends recommendation. Situated just on the outskirts of Pevensey, the parking is good. The restaurant is very clean, light and tasteful decor. Friendly staff. The food choices are large and innovative. Each dish arrived colourful and beautifully garnished. Drink and food prices reasonable. Will return. Booking essential.

There is one only problem with The Royal Indian....... deciding which one of the delicious dishes to order! The food is so good that is a job to decide on a favourite. The Sea Bass Moilee is fantastic, so flavorsome and fragrant with spices. The lamb is amazing, really tender with different variations of spices depending on which dish you go for. There is a great choice of different sides and even the drinks have the best selection that we have seen in an Indian restaurant which different cocktails available. The staff are always friendly and attentive.This is not your average Indian restaurant. From the outside it looks ordinary but inside you will find it a step above the others. It has a lovely contemporary design with the tables well set out with clean white napkins and tablecloths. The quality stands out in both the decor and most importantly the food which is wonderful.
