We had a great dining experience in Spice Traders restaurant, everything was brilliantly managed and ambience of the restaurant is superb. They do have a very good menu and food is so delicious, we tried Sri Lankan Thali set and the taste plus the presentation of the food is wow. Staff were so helpful, friendly and professional. Will visit again in near future.

I ordered the sea food fried rice at LKR 800, this was served as steamed rice with 2 very small prawns a few pieces of cuttle fish and a fancy cut tomato on top with no other sea food. I complained to one. of the 2 staff in the restaurant and a Sri Lankans at a neighbouring table had apparently also complained in Sinhalese to the waiter. All the waiter did was to bring back the menu pointing out the price.My wife had the devilled cuttlefish which was acceptable but expensive at LKR 900.We certainly will not be going back to this restaurant.

This was our 6 th time in Bentota. And what a treasure we found! Food was always hot, plates clean, and the price was not bad at all. Definitely the best restaurant in Bentota what comes to quality and value. Mind you, they wonât serve alcohol. The place looks a bit gloomy, but that is only surface, the food is unbeatable!

Large portions of the food is served, but the quality is not that great for the price. Knorr chicken cubes are added to food and they are not properly dissolved in the food. You get the bites of them here and there in the food. Not worth the price at all.

We went in for a casual dinner outing with parents and ordered mix nasi goreng and seafood chopsuey. The food arrived fast and each dish was enough for two people. The fresh juices were actually well made and the food in general was tasty and filling. The ambience was family oriented and was busy even on a weekday. Managed to feed four people including 2 drinks, 2 soups and dessert for under 2500 rupees. Food was ok. But service was chaotic! Half our order was forgotten, drinks came half way through the main meal. Service slow. The naans and rotis came before the main paneer dishes. Table we were put on initially was not clean so had to ask for a change of table

Loved the place, like the way they have utilized it. Classic oldie type.Staff is friendly Prices are reasonable compared to Amal Resturant and the food was better Presentation of food is fantastic.Had Pork chops which were overdone and not tender at all Club sandwich was great.
