OH and I had a stunningly tasty and mouthwatering lunch. This place has a limited and well-designed menu, which it does to perfection. We had beef brisket poutine, which means slow cooked meat with amazing home-made gravy, over unpasteurised cheese curds (melty and yummy) on chips. We had jalapeno peppers on the side. Portions were generous and the meal absolutely delicious. You can have your choice of meat served in this manner, or on a warm sourdough ciabatta (these looked awesome) or in a bowl with some nice veg and wedges. I think we chose wisely, as the combo of gravy and cheese and chips has to be sampled to be believed. We did feel a teensy bit sorry for the eating place opposite, which was steadfastly empty throughout our visit. It must be hard for them!

...and as good as the first. Menu still sublime but very difficult for the first visit. Exceptional thought process to elevate simple but quality produce to such heights. All the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The only slight negative is that as the environment is very pared back, it can be noisy and as we were a party of six, difficult to chat to each other. Perhaps some sound dampening or circular tables will help?
