This restaurant serves eight different varieties/ marinades for Korean BBQ pork belly (samgyupsal) and while the variety is commendable, the taste doesn't really vary that much. The eight marinades include Ginseng, red wine, pine leaves, garlic, herb, curry, miso paste and spicy. The soup also isn't very special.

I had dinner twice at this wonderful restaurant during my stay at the hotel. The server remembered me (and my choices) the second time I brought my family. Steaks are their main sell and done excellently. They also had a good choice of wines to compliment the meals. Dear. TravellerExoticaGood morning, this is manager of BLT Steak, Mark Kim. Thank you very much for your valuable comment and rating. I am very happy that you have enjoyed our food and service. I hope to see you in the near future and BLT team will always upgrade our skill and food quality to make our customers satified all the time. Thank you very much and have a wonderful day. Best regards,

Overall the food is tasty and the Jokbal seems not the korea traditonal one but made in western style. However, the price was a bit expensive and the amount of Jokbal was not too much as it served with a big bone!!!

Hongdae Dakgalbi

Reviewed By K1 R

Dakgalbi is one of my favorite Korean dishes and this place is also one of my favorite in Korea. I have been to this restaurant five times now over the course of two years and have never been disappointed. They offer varying levels of spiciness for the dakgalbi and different extras if you want to add more to the dish. Every time I have been, the service has been average to great even on really, really busy weekends. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends especially if they prefer spicy food.

REASON FOR VISIT: we found this place through TripAdvisor as it was ranked #1 in Seoul as we visited and although it is good, it's definitely not the best restaurant in Seoul. TripAdvisor is clearly not very used in South Korea... FOODSo this is a Korean BBQ experience and as far as it comes, it was pretty tasty. However, they served PORK ONLY in this place which is a shame. Furthermore, the waiters actually cook the meat for you which we preferred but perhaps others would prefer to cook it themselves. We took two different types of pork, pork belly and pork shoulder which were both great. You get lots of small little dips that come along with the BBQ so it is unnecessary to order any side dish in my opinion. STAFF/SERVICEThey didn't speak English but were as helpful as they could be with different signs. The service was speedy which was nice. ATMOSPHERE/LOCATIONDefinitely needed to pre-load the maps to get to this small street restaurant. The atmosphere was ok, there was a few foreigners in the restaurant and a few locals. CONCLUSION: I RECOMMEND BUT WOULD NOT RETURN AS THERE MUST BE OTHER KOREAN BBQ THAT ARE BETTER AND HAVE WIDER OFFERINGSHello, this is Palo Sam. Thank you very much for using our Pal Osam and we will provide you with services and food that will not change. Thank you.

Flavors

Indulge in delicious global cuisine in a dynamic and stylish atmosphere while dining at Flavors. Our restaurant is located in the JW Marriott Hotel Soul and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.

Waited for 40 minutes for a 1-hour breakfast last weekend, and the system to serve the waiting customers was disappointing. The reception just marked the name/room number and called the waiting customers verbally. A lot of guests with children did not even find a place to sit during the waiting time. Using basic online technology, at least text messaging or using coaster pagers would great avoid the waiting crowd in front of the entrance. Also, the staff reacted inconsistently about our inquiry about how to use vouchers and about parking. Staff training is required in that sense.Dear SH C, We appreciate you for taking the time to share your review on TripAdvisor. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during the breakfast time at flavors. We truly understand your frustrations at Flavors and especially during breakfast. As breakfast is typically very busy, We apologize that we failed to deliver personalized service by not requesting your preference for seating. We have shared your experience with our Food & Beverage team so that we can learn from the experience to ensure this does not happen again. Your kind suggestions have been noted and will be discussed among related teams to cater for guests’ needs. We wish you would come back to discover the enhanced look and facilities in the near future.
