We have been going to this family run restaraunt for about 8 years when we visit this area and each year it seems more popular and with good reason all the staff are friendly the service is excellent they now have a waitress who speaks good English (which always help). You can find it easier enough it is in the main street. Be prepared to wait as they do takeaways too but it is well worth it especially for their pizzas

Our first night in Royan and were drawn towards this Portside restaurant on the Strip .A warm and inviting Welcome .A broad selection of plates .Good quality food albeit simple dishes .Large portions and friendly services .Typical overpricing but they are all the same on Portside .You pay to eat on the Harbour in the sunshine!

Clean industrial grade meat restaurant. Efficient service. Tables are rather small though. You will keep the same cutlery all the way through. Open 7 days a week. Favourable value for money. Wow! What a find this restaurant is; probably the best restaurant in the area and deserving of a Michelin star! The menu is creative and extensive. The food is innovative with a strong emphasis on local produce and using the best local suppliers. The chef/patron is passionate and is keen to explain the dishes and check that your meal is enjoyable. The service is impeccable and the house wine is a decent vin de pays charentais. Avoid the tourist menus on the beach and eat quality fayre here.
