The place buzzers, waiters on the ball, great menu and variety of Italian food and very seldom do they start the menu with whatâs not available. Good service, wonderful food and atmosphere. Set in a local shopping centre, there is plenty of parking right outside the restaurant. The menu is varied enough so that everyone could find something they wanted, and the food was very good - nothing to fault. Value for money.

What a nice treat at Melvilleâs 27 Boxes.The Countess is certainly a big draw card in this center.With an extensive list of artisanal drinks, as well as interesting bistro type dishes, there truly is a delicious morsel for everyone.The plating and presentation is very creative and feels easy and relaxed. Amid this quirky cool space, have a small bite or a share board with interesting people.

I gave the restaurant a retry. It was quite expensive for a special burger and chips, but the chips were more than I could eat.The service was good and friendly. Quality fine. But maybe I'm critical after two previous failures.I could get equal service and comprable burger for about 50% of the cost, nearer home, so i can't honestly say I was overwhelmed.Can i say i wasn't impressed? No! But with the cost of fuel in SA these days, I won't be a regular patron.Sorry! The choices are wide, the quality good, the service reasonable.But, honestly, for me there is no reason to go back.We are sorry to hear that we did not rock your world, Rogofor. Tasty breakfast very well prepared, excellent service, good coffee (will ask for extra large cup next time). Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended- but be sure to get there early. It is a smallish venue, and popular. Creamy mushrooms - to die for!

This old dame never disappoints. There is certainly a reason they have been around for so long. Maintaining the charm of a 60s/70s steakhouse. The waiting staff to management radiate old school warm, family hospitality. The food is certainly better than most fancy, trendy steakhouses in JHB. Their ribs are the star of the show. Ribs you will be craving soon after your 1st visit. Even their side dishes are pure comfort. If you feel like a starter before the gigantic rib portion, the prawn cocktail took me on a stroll down memory lane. Simple but delicious. The desserts will ring a few bells too! Will be back again and again. Saul, our waiter, was a gem. Donât know why all restaurants cannot maintain this kind of service and passion amongst staff. Winning formula.

Visited them , we were seven seated. We ordered three pizzas , 01 burger and 03 steaks from the menus .The three pizzas arrived at the same time , nearly 05 minutes later the steaks and about 05 minutes later the one burger . Everyone was happy with their food . When one goes out for supper the aim is to enjoy all the food at the same time and together.The planning should have been better to ensure all get their food at the same time. I was much disappointed in my pizza , , their was not much crumbed fetta , I ordered extra mushrooms but could hardly find them . With pricing at this establishment being what they are there should be no need to be skimpy.Don't think I will visit them again if the choice depends on me

Compared to common quality on cafës in South African parks and gardens this was bad experience.Our sandwiches (tuna mayo and chicken mayo) were rather tasteless and portions were rather small. Really little tuna and chicken.Waiter had not his best day. Made mistakes also on other tables, as we had time to watch due slow service.Thank-you for bringing this to our attention and enabling us to investigate unacceptable standards. A great pity I did not get to attend to your problem during your visit, but I do hope to have the pleasure of meeting you in the future.
