The municipality comprises the towns of Beernem proper, Oedelem and Sint-Joris. On January 1, 2006 Beernem had a total population of 14,642, mostly in Beernem proper and Oedelem. The total area is 71.68 km² which gives a population density of 204 inhabitants per km².

This tearoom/restaurant is located in a smaller town outside Bruges and offers the all the typical snacks of a tea room, but also huge meat dishes such as ribs and lamb, and massive ice creams. The outdoor terrace is located in a semi garden and there is a sort of playground for the kids. If you are in the area and it is a nice day, you won't regret popping in for some drinks and food. Take notice that credit cards aren't accepted!

Wonderful restaurant where the food is cooked with love and care. The only thing to surpass it was the outstanding service and helpfulness of Margaret who not only made us feel so welcome but also advised perfectly on where else to eat on the following days when Pigeon was to be closed. The cellar is cute and the whole experience really good.

Very nice and cozy place in the outskirts of Bruges. Friendly, on point and fast service, relaxed and professional; they offered to help us translate the menu in English and described the dishes for us.Food was very good, fast and very reasonably priced. Ribs were cooked in a very good rub, chips were not greasy and really tasty, beers top of the line, they allowed me to have a kids portion of the dessert, which was to die for!There is convenient parking just outside the sidewalk.We recommend this place 100%!

Service was really friendly. They advised on the best beer pairing. Donât even know where to start with the food. I was looking forward to trying the ostrich but they were out so I figured I couldnât go wrong with the filet pur. I got it with the mushroom sauce and it came with a huge salad and a basket of fries. No soy bean oil used which is awesome due to my allergy. The meat is cooked right in front in a hearth of sorts which also makes for a nice fire place feel. I ended up not using the sauce on the steak because the steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection and it would be an absolute shame to mask the great seasoning. Had to be one of the best steaks Iâve had. Wasnât throwing away that sauce. I ended up using it on the fries which was incredible. I would suggest serving fries with those sauces as an appetizer it was so good. The beer of choice was a nice oyster stout, Cassandra. The place is cozy and the service was really welcoming. Do try to get to this place if you can!!

If you want to eat spareribs, that's the place. The best spareribs I ever had. You get really value for your money. If the weather is nice you can eat near the riverside or in the very romantic restaurant. The staff is very friendly. We love this place.
