We happened upon this place while in Bochum overnight for business. Luckily we searched for a restaurant early as later it became very busy as it is popular for very good reasons. The management asked if we'd mind taking a table and finishing within two hours as it was reserved for later. This was no problem at all as orders were taken and food arrived very quickly with attentive service and good advice about the menu options. Ordered just one glass of local red wine each and it was lovely too. A delightful meal. No wonder this place is popular.

Beim betreten des Sorbas denkt man gleich an eine Pommesbude, die griechische Gerichte anbietet. Auf den zweiten Blich sieht man aber, das auch ausreichend Platz vorhanden ist um sich an modern eingerichtete Tische zu setzten. Hervorzuheben ist der AuÃenbereich hinter dem Rastaurant in dem man bei schönem Wetter ohne Strassenlärm essen kann. Der Service ist bemüht, die Speisen typische Klassisiker, die jeder erwartet der hier her kommt, Zu erwähnen ist noch, dass bei allen Besuchen ein tüchtiges nachsalzen von nöten war.Fazit: Wenn´s mal schnell gehen muss und man was fleischiges mit Pommes möchte kann man hier mal hingehen.

Made reservations for a Friday night only to arrive and find out the place is packed full and would to wait another 30mins. Plus side, it's full for a reason and if you are up for waiting then you'll enjoy a good meal. The service could be better especially when it's so full. Another waiter/waitress would probably be enough. Would definitely go back.

We have eaten there many times and never been dissapointed. The food is always well presented and well cooked. On a sunny evening the terrace is an excellent place to enjoy a salad & a nice glass of wine.
