Habe dieses Lokal zufällig letztes Jahr bei einer meiner Ausfahrten entdeckt.Liegt versteckt auf einer Lichtung im Wald.Ausreichend Parkraum vorhanden.Im Restaurant wird mit lokalen Waldkräutern gekocht.Für selbige wird sogar ein Kurs angeboten, damit man weiÃ, was man pflückt.Innen ist es urig, gemütlich, mit groÃer Auswahl an verschiedenen berauschenden Getränken.Das Preisniveau ist etwas höher als in der Umgebung üblich, ob es das wert ist, mag jeder selbst beurteilen. Ich bin auf jeden Fall mehrfach von Dresden extra hierher gefahren.Die o.g. Waldkräuter sind im Salat zum Teil sehr dominant, mit leichten Bitternoten, etwas, was man nicht jeden Tag so zu schmecken bekommt.Mit Vor- und Nachspeisen waren wir (3 Personen) sehr zufrieden, einmal war die Soljanka leicht versalzen, sonst gabs nichts zu meckern.Bei den Hauptgerichten war das Wildschnitzel ein Ausfall, nicht besonders lecker und auch von der Menge der Portion dem Preis nicht angemessen.Der Rest der Speisen war prima und schmackhaft, Ãnderungen bei den Beilagen wurden alle erfüllt.Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Essen recht zügig auf dem Tisch.Zusammenfassend einen weiteren Besuch wert.Vor oder nach dem Essen sollte man sich die Zeit nehmen die Umgebung zu begehen, sehr schöne Landschaft mit herrlicher Aussicht.Neben der Gastronomie bietet das Haus noch mehrere Zimmer an, die alle komfortabel eingerichtet sind.Einzig die steile Treppe dorthin dürfte nicht für jeden Pensionär geeignet sein.

Meine Frau und ich waren am 16.02.2018 zu Mittag im Gasthof.Der freundliche Gastwirt nahm schnell unsere Bestellung auf. Getränke kamen sofort und auf die SUUUUPER-LECKERE Mahlzeit muÃten wir nicht lange warten.Preis-Leistung: 5SterneWir fahren auf jedem Fall wieder hin.

My cousins and I ate at this restaurant in November 2016 and enjoyed every mouthful. It was a warm, cozy and welcoming environment on a cold November night and we all enjoyed delicious food and hospitality. The dishes are all potato dishes and WOW, what they can do with the simple potato!!! Amazing. I highly recoment this restaurant if you are in the area at all. The service was great, the food was great and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Die hervorragende Küche und das sehr nette Personal zeichnen dieses Restaurant aus. Hinzu kommen die schöne Aussicht und der gemütliche Garten. Wenn die Speisen frisch zubereitet werden und das Personal genauso gemütlich ist, wie die Einrichtung, kann es durchaus eine Minute länger dauern, als in anderen Restaurants. Aber genau das macht die Bergschänke eben aus. Klare Empfehlung für Lunch oder Dinner.

The food in this restaurant rivals any food I have had anywhere in the world. Imaginative, hot, well prepared. Yes, it is "country food," but it is well prepared and innovative. I could not ask for more in a restaurant.The service is outstanding! I am so sick of going to restaurants in the US where they tell you to keep your fork or knife or stack plates on your table or some other classless activity and then expect a big tip. This restaurant has trained their people in great service and it shows. The staff that waits on me has been here for many years. One waiter told me he has been there 11 years. While most speak little English, we manage to communicate well and the owners make sure English speaking customers have an English menu. Very reasonable prices and sometimes too much food! I had to leave some on my plate tonight and it killed me!!! Pictures of my 4 courses, included with my hotel price, are below.The best deal is to stay at the hotel for 6 or 7 days and then the meals are part of the price of the hotel. I am embarrassed to say how little I pay, so I won't. Check out their website for their amazing deals for longer visits. Suffice it to say, I could stay here 6 weeks for what I have paid in other places for one week.I must admit, I do come here in off season and the tourist season is more expensive, but.... even at high season is is a great value!

Our favorite restaurant in Germany! The food is always excellent and reasonably priced. The service is outstanding! And the view is great. We have had several family celebrations there and the owner - Herr Mueller- has always done the most wonderful buffets for us. Love it there!!!!

Beautiful old world building with wonderful wooden toys featured throughout. The meals were fabulous and presented in a timely manner. The wait staff is great, knowledgeable and their English is very good. The desserts are so good, you might want to skip dinner and go straight to the desserts but you would miss out on some fantastic meals. Highly recommended.

Die Gastleute sind überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Service überhaupt ist erstklassig!Absolute Spitze ist die Küche des Haueses: alles frisch und selbst gemacht! Die Gerichte sind oft auch selbst creiert und immer lecker. DIE renner für mich: Sauerbraten und Rouladen mit KlöÃen und Rotkohl .... die Schnitzelvariationen sind reichhaltig und lecker ... - und auch die "Snacks" - Bauernfrühstück, Bockwurst mit Kartoffelsalat oder Ragout fin - ein echter Knaller! My cousins and a friend all stay at the hotel and ate at this restaurant on more than one occasion. We were delighted with the delicious German foods offered and the fact that they had the menu in English!! Thank you. Everything we tried was delishious and the service was friendly and fun. If you are anywhere near this area of Germany, I highly recommend the hotel and the restaurant. You won't be disappointed.
