This is one of those places that conquer you with the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff alone. On top of that we had the most delicious soup (very creative sweet potato and chili), a very nice fish salad and a perfectly cooked beef with truffels. The wine was very decent as well. Only falter is that the beef was on the hard side. Recommended.

We have been here 4-5 times over the past 15 years. Going into the restaurant can take you back centuries in time. The owners have performed a great job in providing an unique experience. The open fireplace helps create a gemutlich feeling. Words alone cannot give a good picture of the Wirth. We walked in on a cold rainy Saturday evening and were guided to our table. Menus given out and our drink orders were taken. Our group of five had different wishes so our table had quite an assortment of plates. Everybody seemed pleased with their selections. We left happy.

nach einer Wanderung kamen wir zu diesem netten Lokal, herrlich auf der Terasse im Schatten uns zu erholen bei einem wunderbaren Kuchen und Johannisbeerschorle.Selbstgebackener Kuchen in groÃer Auswahl ist schon was herrliches.

Remote, small wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere. Run by a couple (he chef, she service) who puts clearly their hearts in it.Wonderful food, local and crossover. Beautifully restored and renovated old customs station which seems to belong to one of the family members of "Jägermeister" dynasty.Firstly mentioned in the year 1472 the buildings have a nice history to tell and the hotel rooms are quite nicely done.Food was good and tasty and the service friendly.

Well worth the visit! The beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection with a great sauce. And the goulash was very good and served with a tasty salad. But best of all, was the Marillen and Chocolate filled dumplings!

On our way back from Waging we stopped for a lunch. Biergarten looked ok from outside. Approx 8 to 10 table. Biertables very painted with oil colours, which was a bit strange. Ordering took long, as the waitress (elderly woman) was totally stressed and unorganized. Drinks and food took ages. However the quality was good Bavarian style. Paying was the next desaster, as the waitress was not capable of bringing the bill. Not again, our summary.

Bei meinem Lachs mit Spargel war Fisch, Spargel und die Bandnudeln verkocht. Beim Schweinefilet mit Spätzle war die Fleischqualität durchschnittlich und die Spätzle aufgewärmt. Zumindest das Hopf WeiÃbier hat gut geschmeckt. Für die angenehme Atmosphäre gibts einen Extrapunkt.

We spent three nights at the Hotel Oberwirt, during which time we had three breakfasts and two dinners + normally accompanied by 3+5 friends. Despite catering for a major outdoor lunch for 175 persons )where we took part= you had no feeling of this in the lovely restaurant -whether in- or outdoor. The staff (and the owner) was always present and helpful. The food whether fish or meat was served to perfection in substantial portions and at a price which can only be considered correct.
