We popped in here because it looked kinda traditional from the outside, and inside they tried to maintain this image but it was all looking a bit dated. The food was mediocre for Bavaria and the beer (Lowenbrau) was the worst I tasted in Germany. Take my advice and walk around the corner to Flugwerk for an infinitely better experience.

Walk in local restaurant which only takes cash. Bavarian and Czech menu. Hearty food high in near content but very well cooked and sensibly priced. Staff are helpful and friendly. Menus in English helped. Well worth a visit.

Der Merowinger Hof in Kirchheim ist gleich am Sportpark. Hier kann man nach dem Sport einen Snack essen oder einfach ein Eis. Man kann man aber auch einfach so zum Essen gehen. Es gibt teilweise Aktionen. Das Essen ist nichts besonderes und das Ambiente ist auf Grund der Lage auch nicht besonders. Man kann bei guten Wetter auf dem Balkon sitzen.

(Noch) ein kleiner Geheimtipp im Münchner Osten. Die Dorfschenk ist eine liebevolle Location mit Anklängen an eine Ski-/Almhütte. Eine sehr gemütliche Gaststube mit Empore im Obergeschoss bilden ein stilvolles Ambiente für nahezu jeden Anlass. Zusätzlich befindet sich im Untergeschoss ein sehr uriger und stilvoll eingerichteter Weinkeller. Hier kann man ungestört bis zum Morgengrauen feiern. Leider ist die Dorfschenk für den mormalen Publikumsverkehr nur Mittwochs ab 16 Uhr geöffnet. Die kleine Speisekarte bietet immer schöne Abwechslung. Sehr sehr zu empfehlen sind u.U. die hausgemachten Flammkuchen mit teils sehr ausgefallenen, aber sehr wohlschmeckenden Variationen. Für die restlichen 6 Tage der Woche kann die Dorfschenk für nahezu jede Art von Festlichkeit oder Party gemietet werden. Wir waren hier schon zu unterschiedlichsten Anlässen eingeladen und waren immer rundrum zufrieden. Dazu trägt sicherlich auch das stets aufmerksame und freundliche Servicepersonal bei. Auch die Wirtin und Betreiberin ist immer sehr um das Wohl ihrer Gäste bemüht. Man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Ausreichend Parkplätze auf dem Nachbargrundstück sind ebenfalls vorhanden.

Went there to meet a business partner of mine for breakfast and was definitely surprised. Nice cosy location, friendly staff, a huge menu and top service and quality for very reasonable prices. Choose between 30 different breakfasts, not to count the variety of eggs you can choose from. Fresh homemade bread made it perfect for me! Was my first time, BUT not my last time!Thank you very much.Nice to see you enjoyed your stay with us. We always try our best. We look forward to another visit.

Overnight stopover. Flugwerk was close to our hotel. Very impressed with the meals. Very decent portion size typical to Bavaria. Very well prepared. I had a half Schweinshaxn (toast pork shoulder) with potato dumplings (light and spongy) and a coleslaw (cabbage/vinegar/cumin). Lovely and tender with crunchy crackling. My had a steak with a baked potato. Accompanied with their in-house brewed WeiÃbier. We had a main and 2 half liter beers each and were done for â¬25 pp rounded up to include a small tip as appreciation of the food.

Suggested by a friend of mine who lives nearby, this warm and cozy family restaurant dates back more than a century ago. Owned by the same family ever since its opening, you can find local beers, friendly service, fine quality Bavarian food at reasonable price. Nice decor and parking available.
