Though I personally prefer the other location/restaurant/keller right off the autobahn, the food is as good here. Typical Franconian cuisine. There are three good place to eat in Buttenheim, this locaton, St. Gorgen just down the street, and aforementioned Loewnebrau Keller/Biergarten. You will not be disappointed.

Another great hof outside of Bamberg. Service is very freindly and good. Overall very good deal for the money. If you like traditional Frankonian food, this is the place. It is a little trip from Bamberg, but you'll be glad you tried this place. Enjoy!

An einem Dienstag im September wollten wir eigentlich in Buttenheim gut fränkisch essen gehen. Leider hatten alle Gaststätten und Keller zu und so verschlug es uns in den Egloffsteiner Hof. Es war sehr voll und die Bedienungen hatten alle Hände voll zu tun. Aber wir wurden äuÃerst freundlich bedient, auch das Essen lieà nicht lange auf sich warten und war sehr, sehr lecker. Auch das Ambiente in dem Hof ist einzigartig.

Nice people, fair prices, small place but eating outside was very nice. I just had a great salad with the turkey strips but I watch others' dishes being served, all looked very good and customers seemed to be pleased

The atmosphere is rustic, the rooms are decorated in traditional style, with lots of handcrafts and pottery. The general appearance was it is above average for a Gasthaus. The Gemülichkeit was splendid on the night we visited: singing in one room, an accordion player in another and general good cheer with friendly folks on the neighboring tables. The prices were quite a contrast to those in the city â generally less than 75% of those in similar city restaurants. My three Franconian table-mates deemed the food quality outstanding for Gasthaus fare. Each ordered a different regional specialty and raved about the portion size, meat quality and value. I had the cordon blue and found it a bit greasy, short on cheese and ham, and the crust was a bit soggy â but it tasted OK. Service was prompt and quite friendly, especially considering that there was not a free table in the house and people were waiting to be seated. The restaurant has its own beer, which is quite good. They also serve many different types of fruit schnapps, that my companions found quite good. So, despite lack of enthusiasm, for my main dish, the restaurant is no less than very good. We were in the market for a new sofa and after veiwing several midels we needed a break. So we went to their multiservice restaurant. It was crowded with other families but their service staff managed to get everyone served within 10 minutes. There was a wide variety of menu choices of meals and naturally beer. Good food, good service, good prices.

We eat here once a month. You could say that Goller's is our "go to place". Everytime our vegan friends come to town they meet us here. The menu is extrnsive enough to accomodate all tastes without breaking the bank. They even have their own dark beer brewed for them.One tip: Be sure to make reservations during holidays.

We have eaten here twice already, and the food does not disappoint. It's self-serve, and al-frescodining. The portions are large and traditional. The prices can't be beat.No English is spoken...(its a good thing), so you will get a true German Bier-Garten experience.The wine pours are very large as well as the beer. We had two entrees, two glasses of wine,and two beers for $30 euro,s! Best deal in town.

Good German food with schnitzel and wurst. High variety, however, not so original. A bit fatty, too much butter or oil in the food. Very good service and nice setting of restaurant and interiors.
