I have been to Sterzingerhaus for a private party and stayed overnight. The food they have catered for us was superb, the staff was very friendly. Although the rooms are basic, my stay there was very pleasant, it was excellent value for money. Being at 1950 meters, it has amazing views, it is accessible via cable car followed by a mild hike of 15 minutes. When we left on Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was packed with hikers, dishes served to them also looked delicious. I would strongly recommend it, but access can be challenging if you are suffering from fear of heights!

Abito a ca. 35 km dal ristorante e lo frequento da moltissimi anni quindi, come immaginerete, la mia recensione non puó essere che buona.Il locale ha una sala da pranzo con pochi tavoli, la tipica Stube sudtirolese immutata da quando la conosco.La proprietaria é sempre molto gentile con tutti.I prezzi sono medio-bassi per la zona.Il cibo é genuino, la scelta poca ma tutto fatto molto bene: una tipica cucina casalinga. Qui potete mangiare una Wienerschnitzel (la cotoletta alla milanese ma senza osso) fatta come deve essere fatta, con panatura croccante e mai troppo unta. Buoni i primi e i tipici tortelli a forma di mezzaluna Schlutzkrapfen.Tempo permettendo, ci sono un paio di bei tavoli nel giardino curatissimo.Il posto giusto per fermarsi al ritorno da una bella gita in montagna. Porzioni abbondanti.

We have eaten here 3 times in the last 2 years whilst visiting Vipiteno. The food is great - good choice of local dishes helpful friendly staff make it well worth a visit. Very good value for money inan exclusive resort.

We traveled to this farmhouse restaurant during a snowy afternoon which made the trip that much more scenic. The dumplings were great. The hostess was charming and seated us in a very rustic and charming dining room with a view of the valley. Simply a great experience!

This restaurant looked nice and busy so we deceided to have some lunch and drinks. Prices are ok, it is not expensive restaurant /bar, but table has been dirty. Service was ok.

Moidls Lokäischn bittet alles, das das Frühstückerherz will: herrlich frisches Brot aus der eigenen Bäckerei, wunderbare Eierspeisen, Marmeladen, frischgepressten Saft, Cappuccino und Co., serviert mit einem Lächeln. Was braucht man mehr am Morgen? Oder zur Brunchzeit? Oder zu Mittag? Wer mehr Hunger hat, kann auch ein Tagesgericht bestellen. Der Raum mit den riesigen Panoramafenster ist gemütlich und hell - Zeitung in der einen Hand, Kaffee in der anderen, der Tag kann kommen. Ich komme wieder.

Down to Earth good food and local beers at very competitive prices. It was relatively empty when we were there which was a shame but perfect if you just want good food (and happen to be staying 2 mins away in the excellent Goldener Löwe!).

Welcome to our family-run bar / restaurant. We serve you with local and Italian dishes. Furthermore you have a big choose of South Tyrolean beers. We are located in the middle of the main street from our small City Sterzing. We have also a terrace.

Sterzing/Vipiteno turned out to be a very nice alternative to lunch in Brenner. The town itself is nice, with a Tyrolean feel, and very pretty. The restaurant is affiliated with a hotel and somewhat modern but with lots of wood. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. I had what they called their "favorite" menu item, a 3-pasta dish, with spinach ravioli and 2 dumplings, plus pumpkin soup. All were tasty. The portion sizes are large. They do have an English menu. Prices were very reasonable. The town has a city parking lot nearby so access is easy. The rewarding view across parts of the Alps, the friendly service and the typical local food is definitely worth the approximately 3 hours lasting steep hike to the Prantneralm! For the lazy ones or people with problems hiking there is a road from the valley which takes you all the way up to this gem!Thank you very much for your kind review!
