Staying in the hotel got us a table as the locals were there in force.....because the food is great. Lovely little (space is petite) restaurant open only for lunch so please make a reservation (especially if you are not staying in Le Parc hotel). Lots of choices with big plates of food. Solid wine list. I believe it is the same kitchen and staff for La Stub and Le Parc - different menu and pricing - but same gentle service and beautifully presented, wonderful food. I will return!

We went there for dinner. The prices are quite expensive (35-40 euros for the menu) but the food is really delicious. This super dinner was however more or less ruined by antipathic waiters... We arrived among the first at the restaurant and we were among the last to get our dessert... We waited more than 30 minutes to get it ! This restaurant could get 1 star for the food (no doubt about it) but it is completely ruined by the service. We didn't give any tips as you can imagine !

We stayed at the 5 Terres Hotel&Spa in Barr and booked a table at the "La Table du 5" for our Anniversary Dinner. The modern atmosphere is mixed with the old architecture of the Building and stylishly furnished. The waiters all speak English and some also German. All very friendly and attentively. After ordering the Menu, the Sommelier came to us, and helped choose from a large Wine list with some great regional Wines, especially from the Grand Cru Region around Barr. I choose the Chefs Suggestion Menu, 3 Courses for 48â¬. Starter was pooched Egg with Patato Mash and Truffle Creme, Saint Daniel 18months and fresh chanterelles. Main course was Magret du Canard and for desert we both had a frozen Sorbet. Because it was our Anniversary, very unexpected, they brought us a Strawberry Creme Cake with a little light Show! Thanks very much again for that surprise. We are definitely coming back!

Had dinner here. The premises are not particularly special- bare boards and beamed ceilings, rather tea-shop like. The speciality of M Schwartz is local tastes and ingredients. On the whole this works well. Quality is very good, though some dishes on the set menu are a bit fiddly or unsatisfying.. there is also a slight problem with the staff, who have a tad to much attitude to make one feel at one,s ease when confronted with the unfamiliar. Decent wine list majoring as one would expect on Alsace. Price reflects the Michelin star.. overall an interesting journey through reinterpreted Alsatian food but not for those who want a relaxing or romantic experience.Mister Stephen B,Thank you for your comment, thank you for visiting us. Absolutely wonderful evening. The food was absolutely delicious - foie gras, fish, steak, cheese and dessert for â¬45 is far too cheap for the quality of food. The hosts were so friendly too. Added a few photos - unfortunately forgot the foie gras and steak as they were my favourite! Highly recommended
