We recently found this modern cuisine and family driven restaurant in Alicante. We particularly enjoyed meeting the chef and followed his recommendations, so we had a lovely food experience. My recommendations: don't miss the yummy 'arroz meloso', 'pulpo con yuca' and other classic Mediterranean and Peruvian dishes, taken to new heights.Overall, we enjoyed a lovely foodie experience, with unusual flavours and received an excellent personalized service. The only cons is that the restaurant is located in a lesser-known area of the city, but this out of the beaten path location might help preserving a secret treasure... I'm going to keep this short, because there is a plethora of glowing reviews about this amazing five table restaurant. That it compares with or exceeds the culinary experiences we've had at many famous destination dining spots is simply stunning when you consider that it's entire staff consists of the husband and wife team of Olivia and Fernando. The dining experience was exceptional, every dish was memorable. This restaurant is for those who adore great food. Just two tips. Make reservations and order their foie gras -- it will take you to gastronomic heaven.

Katana is a very small outlet with 9 Bar chairs which is located within the Central Market in Alicante. Run by three young people, they produce excellent Sushi, Tuna Tataki, a very creative beef tartare, Vietnamese dishes, and other. Three people with a bottle of Ribeiro â¬109.00 plus tip. Very nice.
