Lovely food, smoked salmon starter was exquisite and unusual, dessert of profiteroles filled with luxurious coffee ice cream and garnished with fresh cream, strawberry, star fruit and physalis was also delicious. The friendly waitress was extremely busy, but made time to explain the menu and service was fast and efficient. At â¬20 for 3 courses the meal was affordable and the local wine was lovely.

Décor d'une ferme vosgienne traditionnelle au milieu des prairies. Bon accueil. Endroit calme pour manger des plats traditionnels. Menu à 20 euros pour entrée plat fromage et dessert. Menu enfant. Possibilité de payer en carte bancaire. Pour le soir, ouverture les vendredis et samedis.

I loved this restaurant. Our plan was to drive to Luxembourg from Fontainebleau and stop in the village of Jean de Arc for lunch. Never has a plan worked out so well. The restaurant was staffed by what seemed like the family of the owner, and we were served by two charming young women who struggled heroically with our utter failure to speak any French at all. We knew we were getting three courses and one of them was steak and chips. This seemed good.The first course was a terrine of beef with superb bread rolls and a mix of salad including beetroot, grated carrot and grated cabbage I think, marinated and the cabbage mixed with a mayonnaise. Generally I would not order such a dish but the terrine was very tasty, as were the carrot and cabbage dishes. It goes to show that extending your eating horizon is a good thing. This tongue will taste terrine again.The chips! My God! The chips were homemade and cooked to order. There is a taste you sometimes get with potato. I'm not sure how to describe it. It is almost sweet. These chips tasted like that. They were not sweet, but they were on the edge of sweet. The steak was cooked to our requirement, the meat red but not emitting blood. It was a juicy steak, but to be honest it was the chips that made the dish for me.For desert we had chocolate ice cream, served with an almond biscuit. I can't believe it took us so long to work out what glace meant in English. I smack myself on the forehead. My wife said that one could do push-ups on that ice-cream, it was such rich chocolate. I am very happy to recommend this restaurant, and would go there at least twice a week if I lived in the area.

carpaccio de thon rouge en entrée ( nous le savons " le carpaccio est tranché très fin "plat principal marmite de poissons ( 1 crevette qui dansait avec un pétoncle accompagné d'un minuscule bout de poisson...BREF ! UNE SOUPE- ceci n' avait pas sa place dans le menu principal. Vraiment très déçu j' avais encore les crocs .26â¬50 sans les vins.Nous sommes vraiment désolés si vous n'avez pas été satisfait du plat principal qui vous a été proposé . Des clients sont revenus en nous commandant exclusivement celui-ci . Peut-être y a-t-il eu un problème , un oubli ... sur le vôtre . Vous auriez dû nous en parler et nous aurions réparé cela immédiatement. Nous acceptons tout à fait ce genre de remarque . Cependant , dans ce menu dominical à 26â¬50 , vous avez omis de dire qu'il y avait un dessert copieux . Au plaisir de vous revoir pour vous prouver que votre satisfaction est notre but principal .

Fairly good hotel with central location in Neufchateau. Rooms are nice and clean with well functioning AC. Comfortable beds and quiet rooms. Nice bar and restaurant. Free public parking or private garage (extra charge). Still some room for improvements of the breakfast (costs â¬9.5 extera pp).Friendly and helpful staff, some of them speaks English.

Lovely restaurant and the food was fine but the service was far too slow. There were a lot of people in the restaurant but that is no excuse. We waited over half an hour for our starters and then another half hour for out main course.

La façade intrigue donc je suis rentré à l'intérieur et la décoration m'a bien plu avec table circulaire ou rectangulaire. Le set de table avec ses pots, on se croirait en Bretagne. Pour les crêpes, il y a du choix.

Visited with a French work colleague on a Wednesday night. The owner greeted us like long lost friends and spent the time to go through the menu and checked often that we were happy without being intrusive. The steaks and fries were fantastic , and cooked to perfection. The Tiramisu was gorgeous. The jukebox came highly recommended and did not disappoint. At 30 Euros each with drinks it was great value. Hope to go back.

Menu was quite akward and waitress didnt speak english. Fortunately some another customer help us so we can order something. We try to order three steaks but they have only two, so one of us take entrecote. We ask for medium and get those raw, i know that they liked that way and we should order it welldone. Gravy (from roasting) was absolutely great. Dinner was pretty expensive.
