Had pizza with a nice thing base, merguez sausage very nice and lightly spiced with chips.The chips were awesome and not dry as sometimes they can be.

We stayed at Hotel de L'Europe for a 5 nights. This is family owned and a traditional French hotel. Not many staff speak English so you will need your phrase book. Breakfast is traditional baguettes & fruit but they also offer cereal and yoghurts for â¬7.00. Evening meals are served on an outdoor terrace with great atmosphere. This requires booking as it is usually full due to the good pizzas. Very reasonably priced also. Rooms are clean with air conditioning. We had a beautiful view from out bedroom over the rooftops and could see the hills. It is centrally located on the edge of the village.

Having been in the village a week we almost missed this decent restaurant as the tables are in the garden at the back. The frontage belies the green oasis once you pass through the bar. We had salad and coffee with a nice bottle of wine. The atmosphere was buzzing wih familes and couples side by side. The waiting staff were attentive despite the very busy service. The meals were large and filling and included lots of interesting tastes.Well worth spending a long lazy lunch in a surprising environment.

Lovely little restaurant. We had melted goat cheese on toast, a kind of seafood stew, butternut squash curry, and some delicious desserts. The seafood stew was nice but missed a little kick. Maybe some garlic needed? But this was a minor fault. I would recommend this place simply on the basis of the amazing peach and verbena sorbet!

This hidden place in the middle of this small village is a pearl. That s why we love France. After a short corridor lightened by small led, you discover a large place cut in two. 1/ is for tapas and 2/ is for the regular restaurant. The bar is big and shins. The waitress are charming and easy speakers. This sunday evening' the band was performing extremly good jazzy music. Last, the food was excellent despite a small list of choice which is manadatory when you want to sell quality. Perfect guys !

This place has been renovated to look like a family style restaurant, and is situated in the village of Joyeuse which has preserved its medieval look, feel, and warmth. It is also adjacent to a mini market where you can buy local products from food to handcrafted articles. Contact this restaurant and ask about their daily specials; they do offer menus that vary from time to time. Whenever we went there, they always had very good, well balanced meals with appetizers, salads, main courses, and dessert. The price is between $15-$30, depending on whether it's lunch or dinnertime, or their regular or extended menu.
