best restaurant in the area and allready on a 2 star level.... service and view are good, food interesting and great executed. some plates had almost to much variations and flavours on it ...but very good cooked ... turbot and lobster was perfect .... henkel offers also a full vegetarian tasting menu

Excellent French cuisine with a German twist (by Johannes or âJeanââ) and excellent and friendly service.We opted for the Gourmet menu and accompanying wines. Every dish was excellent and the (very well priced) wines matched the dishes. Especially noteworthy were the (sea) fish dishes, which can be sometime an issue in the Hessen region. Also the âfoie grasâ was a highlight, it was perfectly cooked and served with a 2003 Spatlase.We love food and are continuously searching for new places to eat, and restaurant âJeanâ is definitely one of the best places in Hessen. There are many Michelin star restaurants in Hessen, but they come at a cost. If you want high quality at affordable prices, âJeanâ is the place to be.

We were there with four persons to have some coffee at 4:30 p.m., and decided to take some Tarte Flambée we were told to be delicious. Not a good decision... We waited more than one hour for the tartes, one of us chose a salad with roasted turkey hen which had been forgotten to prepare and to serve. I like spicy food, but my tarte was too salty. While we were waiting the people at the neighbour table left without having ordered, because it lasted too long. Henry's want to be a small coffeehouse also serving some snacks. The ambience is very nice and also the idea is nice, but there is too less staff to serve the round about 40 people who will find place there. Unsere Servicekraft hatte ihren ersten Tag und war noch nicht so auf Zack (wg. Salat) â es sieht als Gast immer alles soooo einfach ausâ¦..naja, da ist ganz offensichtlich noch Platz nach âObenâ. Wenn Ihnen etwas nicht schmeckt, sollten Sie es dennoch direkt ansprechen, denn dann kann der Koch Abhilfe schaffen, bestellte Speisen erst komplett aufessen und hinterher reklamieren ist immer so eine Sacheâ¦.zu Ihrem Nachbartisch sei gesagt: sie hatten für 16.15h den Tisch bestellt, kamen ggn 16.30h. Dann erhielten sie umgehend die Speisekarten und verlieÃen das Lokal um 16.40h ohne ein Wort, lieÃen die Karten auf dem Tisch liegen....nun ja, der "Nachbartisch" honi soit qui mal i pense.....es war sehr ärgerlich, da viele andere Gäste den Tisch gerne besetzt hättenâ¦..darf ich noch fragen, warum Sie Ihre Kritik in Englisch verfasst haben ?
