The pizzas are cooked in a wood oven and are made with mostly fresh ingredients (the artichokes on the 4 saisons were from a jar and not very nice)The pizza of the day was a cheese and tomato based pizza which had fresh toppings added after cooking (rocket, Italian cured Ham and cherry tomatoes) it was delicious and a very ample lunch.The magret de canard was unfortunately over cooked and the accompanying veg, a bit of a boiled-from-frozen mess. ShameIn summary, well worth a stop if passing but stick to the pizzas.

Les burgers sont excellents, réalisés avec des produits frais et préparés à la commande. Il faut surtout penser à préciser quelle cuisson de viande on souhaite, sinon c'est à point par défaut !! Les petites frites maison sont excellentes.On peut manger sur place ou à emporter.Rapport qualité prix/imbattable !

Unpretentious, pleasant, basic, typically-French family restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were welcomed with a smile, shown to an indoor table for 2 (our choice- we could have eaten on the outside terrace had we wanted to), and brought menus and a carafe of chilled water very quickly. All the staff we encountered had a very good attitude, and everything ran smoothly and efficiently.There is an a la carte menu and a fixed price set lunch. We were in a hurry, on our way to a hospital appointment, so chose to take the entrée and the main course from the set menu, at â¬12.50 per person. We were informed that this would be faster than ordering a la carte, and indeed the food was served very quickly, in a friendly way, and with great efficiency.Unlike many lunch-time set menus, there were 3 choices for each course. My starter of Boulots with Mayonnaise was excellent; my wife found her starter (a Spanish-style cheese omelette, which looked like a triangular piece of pie but turned out to have no flour in it - great for her as she is wheat/gluten-sensitive) very tasty, We both chose the Chilli con Carne as our main course, served with rice - and again, gluten-free. It, too, was very tasty and with a good texture. All the food seemed to contain high quality ingredients. Not bad to find well-executed Spanish and Mexican based dishes in a French restaurant!Not gourmet, not expensive, but very good. Highly recommended.

Good restaurant. Good service but could have done with one extra person to help. Buffet for starters was simple but good. Price reasonable for a lunchtime restaurant. I will go back.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner here. The restaurant is set on the grounds of a beautiful chateau. The service was top-notch, the food was fabulous, and the setting was perfect. We loved our evening.

Jâai étais dirigé par les avis globalement corrects de ce restaurant, par de nombreuses personnes de passage. Je nâai pas aimé lâaccueil froid, la tension de la serveuse et le manque de sympathie du patron. On ne passe pas un moment de détente dans ce lieu. Les plats sont trop basiques, manque de créativité notable. Personnellement, je ne suis pas convaincu et je ne reviendrai pas.

Driving through Bordeaux we just stumbled upon a sign on the road as we very getting hungry. As so often when you don't expect anything special you are surprised. In what looks like a private home , sitting beside the pool we enjoyed an excellent gourmet meal with friendly service. Typical food for the area but prepared with pride. The cafe gourmand , a selection with several mini desserts is an excellent close to a fine meal.

The owner/manager is very friendly and approachable. The starter salad was fresh & interesting. The flavoursome & traditional main course was served in warmed plates. The pear & chocolate tart was tasty and looked great - see attached picture. Vegetarians catered for too - but do let them know beforehand. Bravo! Will go again.

Sur les conseils de la propriétaire de la Maison Lucilda nous nous y sommes rendus à pied depuis la chambre d'hôtes pour y dîner et ce fut très agréable. Rien à redire que ce soit pour l'accueil chaleureux tout en étant très professionnel ou pour la cuisine très bonne et élaborée avec des produits manifestement faits maison et très frais. Nous avons beaucoup échangé avec la patronne des lieux (qui semble s'appeler Nathalie d'après les autres avis) très sympathique qui nous a même donné des conseils forts opportuns pour rejoindre la Citadelle de Blaye en bateau depuis Lamarque (même si nous n'avons finalement pas pris celui-ci de peur de le louper... et que nous sommes passés par l'estuaire de la Gironde via Bourg en évitant Bordeaux). Quand nous reviendrons dans la région toutefois nous ferons cette traversée en bateau car cela doit valoir le coup d'arriver par la mer à la citadelle. Les touristes d'Orléans et Chartres (dîner du Samedi 1er Juin)

Directly opposite the Bordeaux train station. We had a leisurely lunch while waiting for our transfer. Plenty of space for our carry on cases. Waiter very attentive and knowledgeable even though we went for the set meal. Good value. Gazpacho soup particularly pleasant.
