This is a small restaurant in the 20th arrondisement that serves fresh, local cuisine. The menu is only in French, the staff does not speak English, and you won't find any tourists there. It seems only locals know about this treasure of a restaurant. I had the cod fillet served with sauteed leaks and garnished with cherry tomatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was friendly.

This was so good. Unbelievably ! Very nice staff and nice setting. Casual and authentic. We had two pizzas, two salads, and a dessert. Needless to say it was too much food but all superbe. They have vegetarian options as well, if you need that. Try not to fill up on the delicious bread before the pizza ! We were here on the hottest day of the year (broke a 1947 record) and they refilled our water over and over, too. Thank you !!

We chose this restaurant based on itâs great reviews and were not disappointed. Our server was friendly, professional, and her English was better than my French. Our group chose the salmon, duck, and steak entrees, and one salmon and quinoa starter. All were excellent, with generous portions . Perfectly cooked, seasoned, and presented. The desserts we shared, the pistachio crème brûlée and chocolate fondant, were also superb.The restaurant itself is beautifully appointed, in a simple and refined way, and the background music was very enjoyable. We have already recommended this place to friends.

Pianovins is a very special place. We were looking for a good restaurant in Paris for a Saturday evening. I noticed Pianovins which is very well reviewed. However, it was definitely not the most convenient location for us given where we were staying. Still, something told me it was the right place for us and it sure was. A table was quickly reserved by text message. We could get a table for two. Our reservation was quite early and when we arrived we were almost the only ones inside. The first thing that struck me at Pianovins was the genuine kindness of each and every member of the staff. Everybody greeted us and the smiles on their faces were real. We felt immediately at ease, welcome and peaceful. Eric showed us to our table and gave us the menus. We chose the menu Découverte. The wine list was very impressive and you could tell that Eric, who put it together, is really passionate about wines. We decided to go for a wine pairing and to let us be guided by Eric. The selection was perfect with among other things a very interesting Chardonnay from Mâconnais and an excellent Barbera d'Asti from Piedmont. We just indicated how many glasses we were contemplating and Eric did the rest. The food was simple yet inventive and very tasty. I mentioned simple because each dish revolved over a few very good and fresh ingredients, prepared to sublimate their flavours and not to impress the critics. The amuse-bouche for instance had two main ingredients, zucchinis and chorizo. A simple yet powerful combination where all flavours were crisp, recognizable and well combined. The starter was a slightly dried tomato filled with a goat cheese cream and served with basil and a toast with tapenade. Again, fresh and tasteful ingredients. Simple and excellent presentation. The next dish was also beautiful, tasty and simple. Cockles and razor shells. The sauce was the cooking juices from the shells whisked with butter. Delicious with the excellent rustic bread served throughout the meal. Meanwhile the place was slowly filling up. By the middle of our meal it was full. Then came the turbot with chanterelles. The fish was cooked to perfection. The mushrooms were very flavorful. The next dish was the boneless chicken served with peas and artichoke. A great combination. The two desserts were very complimentary and very well executed: not too big, not too sweet, not overpowering. First, slightly cooked red fruits in a juice with homemade sorbet and a crispy "tuile" cookie. Excellent. Then the chocolate ganache with meringue crumbs. Rich but perfectly balanced. I have not mentioned the service yet because it really deserves a special note. I already said before that everybody there was genuinely kind. Eric was very helpful and professional. I would like to specially thank Victoire for her great hospitality, her kind calmness and her constant but discreet attention to our needs. She made our dinner at Pianovins a very special experience full of kindness and serenity. Many thanks to Michel, Eric, Victoire and the whole team of Pianovins. It has been a memorable evening!Thank you for your description of Pianovins, you are writing exactly what we want to share every day at the lunch and at the diner. Small, dark, intimate, and incredible. Itâs almost like eating in someoneâs living room.The menu is written on a blackboard and the tables are close together but the food, service, and ambience are 5 star in every way. The owner sat with us and explained each entree. His recommendations were spot on but that could have been because everything was amazing. After dinner, he brought over a bottle of Rum to share. This place is a real hometown gem in the middle of Paris. Definitely worth the wait for a table.

The reviews of this place were top so we walked across the city to be first when they open. To our surprise the place is tiny, maybe 20-30 guests, and was fully booked. I don't blame them for being booked all time, but they should communicate that better. Their website is empty. They shouldn't expect that foreign language tourists would call their French phone number. Writing this review to avoid disappointment with other keen guests.Dear Sir,I would like to clarify a few things about your comment. First of all, I just want you to understand that when you write such a review, you penalize a whole team that works hard every day to satisfy each of our customers. And you do this (2 stars) without having had a meal at our place.Secondly, you mention that you have read a lot of reviews. Lots of them tell on Trip advisor that you need to book, I can list you at least a dozen of them.If you want to book, you can either call us (we all speak English enough to make a reservation), you can also email us or book via Facebook. We do have lots of foreign people every day, and they book their table how they want. As you say, our restaurant is tiny and out of the clasical touristic path, that is why we do need to have a reservation system, especially as our specialty is fish and seafood.And to finish, we keep everyday at least one table for people coming by, maybe you arrived that day after another table coming by.It is hard for us to get such reviews that do penalize the whole restaurant when we did not make mistakes, only the fact that we were fully booked that night.

Wife researched this place before our trip, decided to go in the evening and took the metro from our Hotel In Montparnasse area (took 40 mins) but was well worth the visit. Very nice lady serving, chatty and helpful and friendly which made a difference. We enjoyed savoury and sweet crepes together with beer and cocktails.Recommend as itâs different and tasty!

So it was more like really really good but pre-prepared dishes,Surprised when we visited it was predominantly tourists inside as it is not In an overly touristy area. But it sure is on TripAdviserAnd the owner and chef are doing very good business.We were there on a Sunday night, when fewer Parisian restaurants Are open. So likely that was a factor.Hello and thank for you review. Nothing itâs pre-prepared, « La Min » because itâs make at minute ^^. Sunday itâs one of the best day, a lot of people in a small place.
