A great find. Visited for lunch and dinner. Really nice relaxed setting to eat out or inside. Excellent food, very friendly staff and polite professional service. Menu choice to meet all tastes...though the fish is superb. Great value for money. Cant wait to be back there in April.

We ate in this restaurant during our summer holidays four times thanks to the service and the food. It's a great place for welcoming families, with big TVs - handy at the time for those into the football world cup!The pizzas were lovely and fresh - and creamy, and the staff were "bend over backwards" helpful and friendly. By the third visit they could almost second-guess our orders. We're not big food experimenters, so it was a delight to find that the Emince Indienne (Diced Chicken in a Thai Curry, spelling probably all wrong) was lovely, tender and delicious. Not overly spicy, but tasty all the same.Pricing was very reasonable. There are plenty of restaurants in Argeles-sur-Mer but we found it hard not to go back to La Maison!

Stayed in a camp site nearby and used this restaurant on three occasions while we were here. The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. Lot of salads and burgers on the menu and after three visits must admit the menu wasn't extensive enough for me personally. That said everything we had to eat was cooked well and although like most of the restaurants we visited a little expensive for what was on offer we did really enjoy it here. Four stars is for the service.

Every year we stay in Argeles Sur Mer, and we make the 'pilgrimage' to L'Escalier and indulge in some snacks and beer.I have a Chicken Tikka Wrap at least a couple of times a week when we are there. It's jam packed with plenty of tasty chicken tikka and other filling. Along with a nice cold beer it's a really nice way to have lunch or just eat,My wife has other wraps or sandwiches and her food is just as nice.Good atmosphere for a small Eaterie.Well worth the visit.

Have visited this restaurant on 3 occasions and each time it was an excellent experience. Even our French friends we dined with said the food was excellent. The entrecôte steak is the best. Great food, wine and atmosphere. Well done in your first year.

This little restaurant in St. Andre is a little gem in a region that does not have very good restaurants outside Perpignan. Too many restaurants where industrial food is warmed up and served at really high prices. This one though is different. The food is well prepared and both simple and inventive at the same time. Perfectly cooked fresh fish locally caught (the coast is near) , fine chicken and beef, (not the type you find at the supermarket), vegetables al dente etc. the service is unobtrusive and prompt. In the kitchen a chef (female) that exercises a perfectly mastered cuisine, obviously a schooled chef. I have eaten there a Friday night together with four other friends. All enjoyed their meal, the creme catalane with caramelized artichauts was very good like the rest of the food. Wine list with local wines. I look forward to the warm weather when one can eat in the lovely little garden..

Situated in the heart of the village Argèles sur Mer, La Bartavelle serves Mediterranean-inspired cuisine mixing Catalan gastronomy and creativity, never compromising product quality. Thibaut Lesage, the Chef, plays his part in the kitchen, while Stéphani
Well, where do I start!I cannot compete or do not want to even try to describe in detail what we ate as I would be doing Stephanie ( the co owner)and the food a disservice. Her enthusiasm for what they offer is super and the food justifies it.So, what did we have. Well, for a starter my wife had the âCinquante nuances de vertâ which simply put was a âparsleyâ extravaganza and which my wife simply said was âincredibleâ. For me, it was the âPas dâanti seicheâ which was basically delicately cooked octopus with a pea dressing etc. It was superb. For mains, we plumped for what we thought was âPoisson du jourâ which was tuna cooked to perfection. The â Artyâ dessert for my wife took another quirky turn in that it was basically an artichoke based ice cream while I went for the âboringâ option i.e. the cheese. Both options were eaten with great pleasure. A decent Caramany helped things along nicely as well. All I can say is if you are in the area, this restaurant is a âdefiniteâ must do. It is one we will return to again and again.

Staying near Argeles on holiday, decided to have a break from eating in so consulted Trip Advisor and chose L'Amuse Bouche. We were not disappointed. Small and perfectly formed, a menu to get the taste buds working and very friendly service. The food was not a disappointment and we had a great evening. Thoroughly recommended.
