Have been coming to this place since I was a kid. If you like chili dogs with onions, this is your restaurant. The chocolate milkshakes are done the old fashioned way and are thick, chocolatey goodness. The hotdogs come slathered in finely minced chili and onions - it is worth it to ask for extra chili. This is a family owned concern and has been that way since the 1900s. It is not canned chili but a recipe that is kept closely held by the family owners. Yes, you will smell like onions after your dining experience but this place is disgustingly, amazingly good. This is not veggie healthy, not carb conscious, not calorie friendly but omg it is worth every sinful and chili laden bite. For just a few minutes embrace your inner need for a hot dog with everything and go with it. You wonât regret it.

First visit to a Firehouse Sub. The menu is somewhat limited, but broad enough to cover most interests. The draw is really about supporting first responders through a portion of your orders. Food was good; I had the brisket and cheddar. Price was a little high for what I got (there are 3 different size options: 4â, 8â, or 12â) but quality was good so overall a fair value. Stopped by to pick up subs for family and the place was clean, the service was friendly and prompt. Then when i got back to the hotel the sandwiches were all made well and we all were happy.

Stopped here with my daughter over the weekend. She asked to have her meat & cheese toasted BEFORE being placed on the bun (no biggie) & the person making the sandwich didn't do. I pointed it out to him & said I'll take the sandwich he started on, saying that there's no need to waste (toss out) the 'incorrect' sandwich. So both sandwiches are finished up & I pay. When we sit down, I start to open my sandwich & I have to unroll & unroll....& unroll......my sandwich was compressed to the diameter of a robusto cigar! Everything was there, but my bread was completely squished to about 2" diameter..either by an overzealous sandwich maker or because I had offended him somehow?! I gave him the benefit of the doubt at the time, but the longer I think about it I probably should've stormed out. I wish I would've gotten a photo...I'll go to a different Subway next time..
