Nothing wrong with this Sonic. I have been to Sonics for over 35 years now, and have found they are pretty consistent from one location to the next. Hamburgers, hot dogs, shakes, chicken, sodas. Not much different from the drive ins I went to in the 50's. If you stop at Sonic, then you probably have stopped at one before. I give this one a thumbs up on friendly staff and typical Sonic food being what I expect.

The hub had a hankering for some fried chicken, so he hit up the Golden Chick for some takeout. It wasn't bad. I mean, it was crispy and it was tasty, but it was mostly crispy and not much chicken, but hey, its takeout fried chicken! The fried okra is pretty yummy. The coleslaw was odd, but not bad. Just odd. And the mac and cheese was just meh. So, bottom line... I don't know. Will we go back? Probably, because crispy fried chicken. Overall, nothing to write home about, but nothing to avoid either. And I've had their dang advertising jingle in my head all evening. Gah!

Unfortunately, Panda Express food pales in comparison. I find the many of their choices a little greasy and over-sauced and certainly tired when they sit on the buffet line too long. Like many chains, too many stores equals compromise.

A great place for a fried chicken fix. We enjoy the "Tender Tuesday" special with a couple of extra sides. Food is always well prepared and left-overs easily stored (we get about 3 meals total). Quick in-and-out and always greeted by a friendly staff. Drive-thru often congested, so we usually just go inside for our order.

In my experience, the many "premium" burger chains are all very much alike and mostly unmemorable. However, Five Guys is different. Like others, they specialize in just burgers (no chicken, no veggie patties!) but they do it very well. It's not cheap, but the burgers are flavorful, and include a large range of extra ingredients at no extra charge. In addition, the fries are not overly seasoned, and very tasty (you can taste the potato for a change!). Milkshakes are good too!
