We checked the place to see how friendly and tasty is it. Both food and service were at a high level, considering the place is located at the beach. Burger was juicy and tasty, and veggies crispy and tasty. Tomato juice a little too hot for my hubby, but ok for me.

We booked this restaurant ahead of visiting Tallinn because it was so highly ranked in TripAdvisor but our experience was far better than we could have expected. The staff are very welcoming and attentive, without being intrusive to your evening. There is a fine selection of wine, and whilst we hadn’t sampled many of the menu choices before, our waitress was very enthusiastic and obliging in helping us select our dishes. I would particularly recommend the braised elk roast for main, and warm chocolate cake for dessert as these dishes particularly stood out. The atmosphere is very cool and relaxed, and the décor is befitting to such a mellow place. We were very pleasantly surprised by the bill too, as for what I’d describe as a fine dining experience, the prices are extremely reasonable! To sum up: Delicious food, exceptional service, great value for money and I would have no hesitation in going back on my next visit to Tallinn.

Ate there for a business lunch. The staff was friendly and the view of the sea was fantastic. Available seats outside. I ordered an entrecôte. The steak and vegetables was ok, but the sweet potato fries was over cooked. Our business host claimed this and the staff offered a free dessert and coffee as a compensation. The lunch was ok, but not a must on your bucket list.

have visited this place several times with friends... and unfortunately had bad experience... Today (19.03.2019) we took daily offer: the buckwheat was undercooked, the beef strogans were salty, as if they were trying to “mask” the stale meat, the beet salad was made from turned to sour (spoiled) beets, and this taste was tried to be covered with lots of garlic. Since we are not the first time to meet such a quality, I decided to write ...

Went there for saturday evening dinner. No need for dressing up as t shirt seems to be normal. Starters were fantastic, tiger prawn and meat tartar. Main course 250 gr marinad entrecote, good 8/10 points. Lamb was tough and dry, was not good ,3/10 points. Sorry to say starters ok but maincourse must be better.

Il Coccodrillo

Coccodrillo - an Italian restaurant located (or should I say - hidden) in Viimsi, which is just next to Tallinn. I have bit mixed feelings about this place. I really liked the historic house in which this restaurant is and I was quite fond about its interior. Nicely arched ceiling, thick stone walls etc. Place is perfect for small groups and / or families, but for larger groups you should look elsewhere. When I visited it, it had some (birthday?) groups in and it was bit noisy but nothing overwhelming. Tables are nice and big (for 4), even too big - as it was noisy, it was bit complicated even to talk with the person sitting opposite to you. Service was reasonable, initially nice lady greeted us within a minute and brought menus to the table right away. Regarding menus - they are bit overwhelming offering you tons of different things and it is really hard and time consuming to choose something. Luckily waitress was kind enough to help to clarify few things and I went to salmon pasta with lime juice and for a lava cake (chocolate cake) as dessert. It took around 20 minutes for the pasta to arrive but I would say it was worth the wait. It was absolutely amazing - salmon bits were cooked very well, pasta itself tasty and you could really tell that it included hint of lime juice too. Initially when I saw the dish, it looked really nice, but I was thinking - hmm...bit on the small size for me - but I was wrong! It was really rich and filled me nicely! After the main one had to wait for like 10 minutes before waitress approached and asked if there is a need for anything else (like a dessert). Yes, so the lava cake. Again - really hard to fault it - if anything, I would have liked to have just a bit more ice cream, but this is just picking. Waiting time was around 15 minutes. When finished eating we had to wait again over 10 minutes before waitress realized to ask from us if we need anything else or .. ? At this point I have to critique the staff a bit. There were many waitresses working but they seemed not to try so much (plus I heard when they were loudly discussing behind the counter whether to go for a smoke or not). And of course the waiting time between the courses was poor. Hence, here are my marks: Food 10/10, Service 5/10, atmosphere 7/10 - overall 22/10 for a mid-ranged/priced restaurant. P.S. Entire time as we were there (about 2h) there was a cigarette butt lying on the floor next to us and it seems that we were only ones who noticed it...

From spot on service to amazing decor, nothing can eclipse the truly inspired menu and variety of food offered. The Omnivore Tasting menu gives you a real taste of Tallinn in a gourmet fashion. An extra special touch is to be taken to see how some of the food is prepared. If you can get the Chef's Table at the counter, by all means do. You get to watch the amazing kitchen in high gear.

We can't fault this reasonably priced and beautifully presented restaurant. We had beetroot soup to start with goats cheese, among the best I've had with generous bread portions! Followed by quinoa salad and chicken schnitz, both delicious. We ordered a dessert ONLY because of the high quality of the first two courses and we weren't disappointed. Topped off with friendly, professional service... couldn't have asked for better!!
