I first had the pleasure of dining at La Polveriera in the mid 90s and have remembered it ever since. Then I was the guest of a local theatre artist, treated to the chef's favorite wines and seafood creations, including an exceptional pasta with frutti di mare. More recently, I ate here twice during a business trip to Pontedera, since the experience was so delightful my colleague and I were eager to return. The interior is comfortable and attractively decorated, with brick walls and warm colors, but in warm months nothing compares to the courtyard seating where you can enjoy an exquisite meal under a starry sky. The 2 Euro cover charge includes a glass of the fine house prosecco along with a selection of tasty breads and focaccia. Seafood dishes are the highlight here, including an amazing main dish of cod with crispy pancetta in a Grand Marnier sauce and fillet of turbot all'isolana. Don't miss the chocolate flan, a perfect ending to a delightful meal.

On this Wednesday which is a very important holiday in Florence, friends who live in this area took us for lunch. It is gorgeous! The atmosphere set on top of a breezy small mountain with scenic views and charming tables all outside made for a perfect setting to escape the confusion of the city and step back and enjoy the quiet of this locale. AND, the food. ....not only was it prepared perfectly but presented in a way that made you think you were in a very fine dining venue...which we were! We loved this day, this restaurant and the staff, everything about it. To get there...well, it is not hard with a car of course, and the town of Buti and the surrounding area are well worth an entire day. We did not see any tourists whatsoever but the staff spoke English this I know for sure. If you are driving just follow signs towards Pisa and then to Buti and then onto this restaurant. You will be happy you did.

There can't be another first impression! And this first impression was great! Service on the highest level! Good choice of food and wine. Excellent in all ways. I was invited to try their famous tartar with 7 sauses. It was more than worth to have it. And steak Fiorentina, just delicious!!! No comments about wine! it's just superb!

Tra le vie del centro storico di Calcinaia si trova questa enoteca di recente apertura che offre un ambiente accogliente incastonato tra le storiche case del paese. Bric à brac offre un menù a base di mezedes servite con cura anche nella presentazione. Le possibilità sono tante quindi c'è da divertirsi nella scelta di 3 o 4 mezedes per ognuno. E' anche possibile optare per una selezione di mezedes con degustazione di vini abbinati. E' consigliato prenotare perchè il locale è veramente piccolo. A volte vengono allestiti dei tavoli all'esterno ma non è altrettanto piacevole come trascorrere la serata circondati dalla pietra.

We visited La Rocca on a beautiful hot summer evening and sat just outside the amazing dining room on the patio. We had the most amazing meal, everything including the wine that was recommended for us was excellent. My husband and I picked the selection of starters that gave you a taste of all the starters on the menu, I expected one little bit of each but we got a large portion of each starter, really worth paying for. I then had the rabbit which was really tasty and my husband had the pork our two kids had the Calamari selection which they loved, they both had Pasta for starter, Would highly recommend this restaurant and hope we may visit it again before we move from our Villa in the next week. We were worried about visiting it because no body had reviewed it since 2016. But it is definately worth visiting.

Great restaurant tucked away in Bientina Toscana nice place overlooking a man made lake.We had dinner there on a Monday the food was mouth watering.We had some lovely pasta with shellfish my friend had some delicious ravioli and the Frittto misto was superb.We then had a Fiorentina , a fillet and fresh fish all cooked to perfection.We opted for their local wine by the carafe which was from a Montalbano winery quite good.Desserts were amazing , service 100% the owner who is of Corsican origin takes pride in her work and really takes care of her clients.Grazie di Cuore!!!

We had a lovely dinner at Ristorante i Maggi with 4 courses. But before that, we were surprised with a delicious amuse. The starter was very creative: a cappuccino of seafood! First and second course tasted good as well, though were a bit less exclusive. The staff was friendly and gave some good advice. Last but not least, we liked the combination of old and modern interior.

Very inexpensive lunch with wonderful hosts. The lasagna and gluten free pasta were both tasty and plentiful. Don't follow the map on Tripadvisor. Beautiful location a short walk from the centre of Vicopisano. Menu is in Italian but owner is helpful with a translation book and advice. Food was incredible.
