My wife and I were travelling around the Alentejo and "accidentaly" we've been around Torrão closer to lunch time. Found this nice restaurant and after seating and exploring the menu, I have requested the specialities of the house and the nice and smiling lady (which was also the owner) told me to go for the "Ensopado de Borrego". If you like Lamb, you must try this. The dish is amazing, with flavour and smell!!!! Must eat. After the food, ask for the "Encharcado" as the dessert and you will completely end your journey through the Alentejo Cousine. Not sure why this restaurant is showing ££-£££. But for a complete meal for two, we spent around 26⬠soooo... for the qualify of food, service and experience, is priceless.

Traveling down to Sagres, stopped here on a Monday lunchtime & the place was packed.....much to our surprise. I believe that everyone was Portuguese, and that made us definitely want to eat here. We had to wait five minutes for a table to become free.The very lovely waitress was able to help us translate the specials ( although there main menu was translated).I had the veal & my husband had the special of chicken, with cream and mushrooms.Both dishes were great, hearty and simple.Pudding, we both chose the flan ( Creme caramel ), yummyThe bill came to â¬27, with wine, bread, water and olives.If youâre passing on your journey, stop for a great lunch.

O ensopado de borrego estava excelente e é uma especialidade. O bacalhau com broa foi uma óptima surpresa. Sendo pratos confeccionados na ocasião o tempo de espera foi curto. A relação qualidade/preço é excelente. A simpatia dos proprietários acrescenta bem estar à boa comida. Bem hajam!

Um atendimento muito familiar, uma sala acolhedora, uma esplanada com uma paisagem excelente e uma variedade de pratos de comida tÃpica portuguesa, fazem deste restaurante um local apetecÃvel para visitar e apreciar.

What a great place, the hotel is so quiet and peaceful at night, good sleep guaranteed!The restaurant serves many dishes for lunch and dinner. All great quality tasteful with a great choice of wines. Staff friendly and helpful. We will be back.
