Most Popular European food in Tallinn, Harju County, Estonia

Find out what European restaurants to try in Tallinn. Tallinn's atmospheric Old Town is an enthralling hodgepodge of medieval streets and spires. It's a small city, and the tourist areas are safe and easily explored on foot. Buy a Tallinn Card if intending to use buses, trolleys or trams. For a look into Tallinn's past, visit Rocca-al-Mare Open Air Museum's typical rural Estonian taverns, windmills and watermills, see the onion-domed 1900 cathedral or join the bustle in historic Town Hall Square. St. Olav's spire was once the tallest in the world.

KOLM SIBULAT (Three onions) - who are we actually? The idea to establish a second restaurant came from our two head chefs. They are true artists at their heart. Our first restaurant Moon has a very distinctive style of cooking and this sets too strict lim

The place is located near an hipsteric area of Tallinn. It was quite quiet, few loud kids. The serving girl was giving us a lot of attention. Food menu pretty vegan or Asian, this was unexpected. We didn't finish our dishes. Best part was their home made white bread! Thank you for taking time and sharing your experience with us! Hope to see you back in the future!

We opted for the 11 course menu and it is an interesting experience! Some courses were great (e.g. elk) whilst others weren't (like the fish courses). There's also a 'bread ' course which is fine but fills you up and the quality is poor. For us there was way too much smokey flavour and, coupled with pickles or dill oil on almost all courses, made everything taste too similar. By the middle we were bored with the food. Sadly, it wasnt good enough for the 100 euro per head price. The service however was excellent.

What an enjoyable restaurant. Our only problem was that we felt we should make a reservation at around 5pm for that evening. We checked the internet and found that the only openings were for 8:30 or later. My wife phoned and was told they were all full. I called and was also told that they were full but I said that the internet showed that I can book for two at 8:30 but I was hoping for a bit earlier. They said to book for tomorrow but I said that we would be gone and we were hoping to come tonight. She said that as it was just two, she could fit us in at 7pm, which was perfect. Our shock was getting there at 7:00 and finding the restaurant only at most 20% full. Through the evening the most occupied it got was half full.We were given a wonderful table, that could seat four, and took the two seats on one side facing the kitchen, which is a glassed in “display kitchen” in the middle of the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they have their own beer which is brewed just for them and was exceptionally good. The dinner was exceptionally well and included some dishes for those of us who are interested in trying dishes that are not on all menus lie rabbit and duck. We enjoyed the lamb and the duck as main courses and finished with the Estonian Bread Soup dessert.Looking forward to trying it again on our next visit.

We had dinner at Mix. The food was excellent and the variety was just right. The combination of classic dishes with a modern twist is beautifully executed. The service was top notch and we would like to thank our waitress Alla for making our dinner one to remember. Highly recommended if you are looking for a fine dining experience in Tallinn.

This was our first time in Dominic, but boy, won't be our last. There were 5 of us, and all dishes, from starters to desserts (and all the extra stuff they brought), were very, very tasty. They looked beautiful and tasted even better. And the service, wow. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of our main waiter (male), but he sure knew his wines and all in all was very attentive and helpfull.I think we found our new favorite restaurant in Tallinn and like I said, will be back!

We went in here, hoping to find lunch. Apparently, the restaurant was full and we had to make a booking in advance. We were hungry and it smelled really good in the restaurant, so we made a booking for dinner two days later (first available time). The restaurant is nice, waitresses are polite and service-minded, although the food did unfortunately not fulfill our expectations.

We booked this restaurant ahead of visiting Tallinn because it was so highly ranked in TripAdvisor but our experience was far better than we could have expected. The staff are very welcoming and attentive, without being intrusive to your evening. There is a fine selection of wine, and whilst we hadn’t sampled many of the menu choices before, our waitress was very enthusiastic and obliging in helping us select our dishes. I would particularly recommend the braised elk roast for main, and warm chocolate cake for dessert as these dishes particularly stood out. The atmosphere is very cool and relaxed, and the décor is befitting to such a mellow place. We were very pleasantly surprised by the bill too, as for what I’d describe as a fine dining experience, the prices are extremely reasonable! To sum up: Delicious food, exceptional service, great value for money and I would have no hesitation in going back on my next visit to Tallinn.

Followed by quinoa salad and chicken schnitz, both delicious. We ordered a dessert ONLY because of the high quality of the first two courses and we weren't disappointed. Topped off with friendly, professional service... couldn't have asked for better!!
