The area around heathrow isnât pretty, but every turd has a silver lining; even filthy heathrow. If youâre interested in plain, honest excellent food, Moniz is the place for you. Of particular note is the quality of the produce served here. It is nothing short of spectacular. Chosen with love and devotion by a Portuguese family who actually care about what they put before you on the table. A fine selection of reasonably priced Portuguese wines and deserts that would, I promise you, tempt the devil himself. Absolutely spectacular. Iâve eaten here many times over the years, thanks be to God. Highly recommended in every imaginable way. Worth the trip from central London. Outstanding. Obrigado Moniz!

The staff here are fantastic, so attentive and nothing is to much trouble, we came for lunch and had beetroot salads starter, fish and chips and salted caramel tart with praline macaroon. They do a wonderful elderflower with mint, lemon and lime drink which Is so refreshing. Food here is always good with a lovely environment right on the Thames.Thank you for your great review of the Runnymede on Thames. Having stayed at the property before many years ago we booked a special package for D,B&B for my husbands Birthday & Our Anniversary. The Tudor room wasnât available previously and as weâre keen foodies we really wanted to give this place a try. The whole experience was wonderful, we started in the bar with G&Tâs and were escorted through to the beautiful room, where thankfully the decoration has not been modernised like other parts of the hotel. The menu is a seven course taster menu where you get an option on a number of courses and we were very happy with the choices (sometimes with taster menus this is not the case). What is good is that the restaurant offers ½ bottles of wine which as I only drink White and my Husband loves Red meant we could each indulge without worrying about having to finish the whole bottle. Not once did we have to fill up our own glasses and our water glasses were topped up continually throughout the evening. Each dish was explained as it was presented to us, the service and food was exceptional. We had an absolutely lovely breakfast here, as hotel guests.The breakfast buffet was rich with pastries, cheese, cold cuts, fruits and vegetables, juices, made to order eggs, coffee and more.The service was wonderful, too.

Excellent setting and service. Visited for family birthday. Thought buffet style would be great for variety of tastes but disappointed that there was no plain meat e.g. ham or prawns on the starters buffet. Everything was in sauce or a dressing which didn't suit our fussy eaters. Also the beef main was smothered in a mustard coating. Good if you like "made up" food and excellent veggie options. If you prefer plain meats and fish not ideal. Quite expensive for children who eat little, £16 per child.Thank you for your review of the Leftbank Restaurant at the Runnymede on Thames. I am sorry that you were disappointed in the starter buffet but enjoyed the excellent veggie options. Our starters usually receive very high praise and even âfussy eatersâ normally find something to their liking. We do conduct regular market research and find our prices competitive within the 4* hotel market in the area. My apologies if this was not your perception. Ate in Oriel last week. Place was clean and tidy. Service was quick and staff very helpful. Had the steak roll which was delicious,tried a cocktail which was recommended by our server. Nice place to eat before going through security.. and the manager Ali was very friendly stopping by to ask if everything was ok with our food.
