Set in old stone building hidden from the street is possibly the best restaurant in catanzaro region... Upon entering the restaurant it has a very old world feeling which sets the mood nicely. oNly a handful of tables, but that is not a bad thing. All the food was fantastic ecsepcially the barley risotto, proscuitto and pineapple and the mixed cheese plate. The chef has a wonderful collection of awards received over the years on display and be sure to check out his binders with his vegetable carvings he is world known for. very welcoming to English speaking tourists who arrived in town late in the afternoon. The waitress started us with a complimentary appetizer and took time to explain the menu. the pasta and fish dishes were all great especially the grilled octopus. when asked for something not on the menu that day they were more than accommodating -pasta with fresh clams, we would visit again.
