Outstanding ambience, exceptional food, exceptional service... the perfect place to gather with family and friends. Appetizers and bubbly in the garden and wandering the waterfront, then inside for a food experience that will be long remembered. The decor is straight out of Switzerland. It's a bustling place because the food is so good and so affordable for the size of the portions. We came back to The Farmer's Daughter for yet another visit and it did not disappoint. The owners are absolutely the best, always very knowledgeable about wine and cheese pairings and willing to suggest some great products. We had a large meat & cheese platter (Farmer's Platter), the three dips (olive tapenade, whipped feta dip and red pepper hummus) and a wine flight for me and a couple of glasses of wine for my partner. We bought some cheese to go as well (definitely try the espresso cheddar if it's available). Every time we visit, we feel like we are on vacation. The food and wine is always delicious and the service is fantastic. We live about a 40 min drive from Sidney but we will keep coming back again and again.
