Restaurant gastronomique dans l'une de plus beau village de la france. Village Médiéval. Situe au bord de la riviere face de pont du diable.
A fabulous intimate restaurant with a beautiful setting overlooking the old town and the Pont Diable. Excellent covered outside dining area for the hot lunchtimes. Brilliant 3 course set menu at lunch for 24e per person. Each course outstanding. cant recommend enough. Very friendly staff and owners. They have a chambre d'hotes across the road for anyone looking to stay in the area. A gem and going again tonight.

Located in the upper reaches of this iconic Cathar village, the Chantovent has a discreet frontage opposite the Relais with which it is associated. Recent attestations to quality from various organisations adorn the entrance and displayed menus.Inside, where Reception and the kitchens are located, there is plenty of cool space . with tables. The WCs are located upstairs to the left of the entrance and are very clean, as befits a Michelin-rated restaurant. The restaurant has a superb position above the gorge upon which Minerve is built. There are several tables on the terrace, the ones near the rails (saving you from the drop) having parasol cover, the others not, which, on a hot sunny day seems an oversight - and the donkeys' straw hats offered to clients to mitigate the glare do little but embarrass them. The greeting is formal and quite serious, the service is professional and helpful, conducted in French, the atmosphere refined and sophisticated. The presentation of the dishes is very attractive.and their choice, on set menus and a la carte, predictably and reassuringly fairly limited but wide enough for most tastes. We both chose the 25 Euro menu - and a tiny gazpacho amuse-bouche awakened the taste-buds for the starters: a layered goats' cheese number and a cool melon soup served with a boule of sorbet, both delicious. Mains were beautifully grilled salmon with well-judged accompaniments..We had a 50cl bottle of rose between us which was superb. Puddings were a blueberry pavlova, and in my case, roasted "peaches-on-the-vine" with peach ice-cream, which was pleasant, but lacked any real depth of flavour, which surprised me (and rather let the side down) but overall the meal was really excellent and good value for an all-in 66 Euros.for two. We shall return and probably stay the night at the Relais so we can enjoy dinner with plenty of wine.

Gastronomic restaurant serving fresh seasonal local produce, catch of the day, dry aged meat and daily specials together with superb wines. Fine dining al fresco in the garden or inside surrounded by the enchanting decor. La Table's Chef, Steven Neirynck
I think I've reviewed near 1,000 restaurants and enjoyed many of them, but every now and then we get treated to something truly exceptional and 'La Table' is one of those. The decor is delightful the ambience relaxed and comfortable, no stiff and starchy feelings here. Staff are welcoming and most speak good English, not that this is important. Service is polite, friendly, helpful and discreet. The wine list has something for all palates and budgets but my adage is that when in Rome...etc and, as the estate produces some very good wines it seems a pity not to sample their home grown wines - they're excellent. The menu a surprise degustation format is a truly wonderful experience with each dish ( we had 5 plus amuse bouches) with delights to the senses at every bite. My descriptions fall well short of describing the quality, freshness, innovation and flavours you'll experience here. Go out of you way to visit and be delighted. Merci a l'equipe entiere!

Very Good Experience. The setting is in a very tiny village outside of Olargues set deep in the mountains. There is very ample inside and outside space in this restaurant. We were only 1 of 2 couples there for lunch on a Saturday in early July. The saturday menu is pretty limited but what was offered was very nicely prepared and beautifully presented. We had Shrimp and Scallop in a Thai inspired sauce. Quite pleasant. We sampled appetizers of Escargot presented in a mini dutch oven and Foie Gras. Both were excellent and the portions generous. Service was quite good, typically non rushed. I suppose if the restuarant were to have had a more normal crowd in it the atmosphere would have been more lively. As it was though, it was a beautiful day and it was an enjoyable experience. I would rate the value at this restaurant as a little less than good value. It was pretty pricy for a lunch at 110 for 4.

We really didn't study the menu, just focused on tapas and thought that would make a change. Firstly the greeting and service from 'maitre d' was very lack lustre, happily the guy who actually served us was pleasant and knew how to smile unlike his boss. Now when we really looked at the menu, how do you make a dinner out from crepes, tartines and the a poor selection of tapas - more tartine type things, 3 sorts of brochettes, Spanish omelette, No Patatas Bravas!! Ok we should have gone to Spain! I think there were 3 options of 'proper' main courses, we had the gambas and they were a good size, excellent value. Tapas of, peppers and bread, cheese and bread, sardine rilette and bread - good job the bread was really good! and a duck brochettes - fine. But the lettuce wasn't washed, not just gritty, actually earth brown and the chocolate molleux for desert was poor. So has potential, just a strange menu combination, certainly some good things but the welcome (lack of) was sufficient to make us not want to return. We are so sorry for the lettuce ! I recommended to the Chef to take care about that ! Thank you.Regarding our menu, it's maybe strange for you but we didn't want to "impose" a menu with starter - main course - dessert. The most of time, our customers are coming for just one drink, then they decide to eat a salad for example, then they ask for tapas or brochettes and following a dessert....In Le Bistronome, you are completely free ! You come for 30' or you stay for many hours ;-) Maybe the Boss doesn't speak English very well....do not hesitate to come back again ! Never stay on a bad experience ;-) Did you try the "Tartine Gourmande" ?!

This is a very down to earth, simple cafe/bar/restaurant in Saint Pons, which offers a 13 euro lunch menu â starter consists of a buffet of various salads, pate and saucisson. The main course on the very quiet Monday we visited was a duck burger served with penne pasta â it was very tasty. A simple cheese course was followed by home-made îles flottantes or Chocolate Mousse. Nothing pretentious... just good, honest food, served with a smile from the friendly waitress.
